Did the recipe call for it to be chopped? Or could I do it in a food processor to make it smaller? Would that change anything for canning time?

Hello from small town Greens Fork Indiana! I found you guys recently while I was searching canning videos. I can't remember the very first video that popped up, but I remember liking it because you guys are so .. REAL. Y'all got life going on all the time, and I love that. So I subscribed and went back to watch your first video to see what y'all are about. And omg I couldn't be happier to have found an awesome couple to watch. I can't tell ya how much I appreciate that you recognize there's people in the world who wanna homestead or borderline homestead, that still gotta work full time jobs! It's just not in the cards for us to quit and live off the land. We rent a trailer right now, goal is to buy land and either put a barn house or modular home up, we work in a foood factory, a lot of over time hours for sure. My husband Joshua has 2 children, 1 is already an adult and the other we get every weekend and day off. I came into the mix with a Brady bunch of cats and dogs 🤣 I can and garden my butt off, but goodness it's hard to juggle everything and sometimes I have failures. But thats life. And I love our life ..this is the happiest I ever been! Sorry I'm just rambling LOL the jist of me saying all this is thank you for creating your channel, and thank you for being real, keeping it real! Much love and good vibes to your family ❤️

Well, I watched Mark's recipe video and the original recipe in Jenni's video that Mark posts in his video, and boy-howdy did this recipe morph! (grinnin a big Missouri gin from central Idaho) And, I know when I make it it will 'Morph' again! Thank y'all again for another great canning video and this really nice idea for the extra squash we gardeners' always seem to have. ps, I am still learning and started helping my folks do the canning about 63 years ago. My mom always included us kids in stringing the beans.😒 I keep saying everyday that I’m going to box up my canners and dehydrator and put them up awhile but it has not happened for the last 3 months I have had them. I have been trying to make some extra room in my freezer and keep finding more to can but the freezer just doesn’t seem to go down much very fast. I was scared of canning till 3 months ago now I’m hooked. My mom always ran us out of the kitchen when she would start canning. If I had known it was this easy I would have been doing it for years. I’m killing my budget on jars but they are a worth while investment. It’s a lot of fun watching other canning recipes.
