For easy pealed FRESH eggs 1) Put room temp eggs in rolling boiling water. 2) Boil for 15 min. 3) Place eggs in bowl of water and ice cubes. 4) crack shell by rolling on counter under palm pressure. 5) remove crushed shell under running water. EZ to peal, no egg damage.

Here's a couple tips for easy shelling of fresh eggs. Put a fresh lemon sliced in the lot with the eggs. I have used dehydrated lemon sliced or lemon juice sometimes. Continue cooking like you do. The instead of cracking the eggs simply lay them down and roll them like you would a lemon or orange to get juice. Much easier peeling. Hope you try it. Love you folks!!! That's what I do and I rarely have a problem (I use two 4 oz. Anchor Hocking bowls with the scalloped edge, one on top of the other and gently shake until the egg(s) is evenly cracked all over). The shaking also helps to release the membrane so that the peel literally slides off with a gentle push between the white of the egg and the shell.

It will last us a long long time and it was extremely cheap to make. We threw some braggs apple cider vinegar in the batch when we started it. It acts as a starter for the mother. Great video guys… just a tip from one friend to another… Farm fresh eggs can sit on your counter for three months as long as they are clean and not washed… when the hen lays the egg; that wet coating naturally protects for more of an extended period of time compared to store bought eggs that are washed, beached, and in some cases inked… if you want a perfect egg without mangelling the egg when pealing; just use eggs that are a couple of weeks old… love your dogs.. Yah Bless!

We get fresh eggs from our neighbor. I get them unwashed and unrefrigerated. We leave them on the counter and wash them as needed. I found the ones left on the counter peel so much easier than once they've been refrigerated. I put my eggs in the pot of cold water with salt (have used baking soda too), and once boiling, let boil for 10 minutes. Then I put a lid on the pot and set it aside for 15 minutes. I then drain and add cold water. I peel them under a very small stream of running cold water, and they are perfect! I love pickled eggs and can't wait to try this recipe.

🙋‍♀️experienced chef here, there are several things that help with peeling eggs. 1. Don’t use fresh eggs the membrane starts to break down as they age. 2. Changing the ph in either direction, so baking soda or vinegar in the water. I prefer vinegar as baking soda can cause the eggs to take on a sulfur smell. 3. Shock the eggs in ice water. The colder the better. 4. Steaming eggs works great.
@carpii
@carpii 4 года назад
Theres so many old wives tales about making eggs easy to peel, but adding anything to the water doesn’t do anything. Theres just not enough time for anything to penetrate the shell. When people talk about pH, it’s actually the pH of the egg internal that matters, which should be above 9 (alkaline) for easy peeling. So how do you do that? The answer is to simply use older eggs.. their pH increase naturally over time as the egg loses moisture, then shock them in cold water. Steaming does help, since it results equal heat on all surfaces.

I made these two weeks ago. I've never even had a pickled egg before but I overbought so I figured why not. I will not lie, one week in I gave them a whiff and was not enthusiastic. But after the full two weeks they are fantastic. Really enjoying them. That's the fun part of watching these vlogs is you sometimes get the urge to try something that you are unfamiliar with. Love you guys.

Hey dear people, thank you for sharing this recipe! I've never had pickled eggs... so I guess I have to try them ;) We do steam our fresh eggs; then cool them a little, roll them on the counter a little to crack the shell all over: never had a problem peeling. Ah well, whatever, you had fun on your deck anyway

Going to try these! Thanks for Sharing! My all time favorite pickled eggs was when I was a teen and we would go down to the country store and they would have the pickled eggs on the counter. They were pickled in the hot sausage juice/brine which was red from the sausage. That's why they put the red dye in there now a days to make um look like the old fashion kind. Much Love and Blessings

😂 that's so true about peeling the eggs lol one of my biggest temper tantrums was over eggs that I couldn't peel! 😂 Best thing I've found is they have to be at least two weeks old.

Hi! Found you today. The lord must have known I needed this-your videos❣️Anyway. The only time I’ve ever gotten eggs peeled correctly easily I had a garbage disposal, first and best thing ever for peeling hard boiled eggs. A small stream of water peeling them under the water, it was Incredible‼️Perfect peeled eggs and not a shell to worry about!!

LOL Wish more people would be honest about stuff I make. Don't offend me one bit and don't mean I'm changing a thing. Just sharing less of it. lol. I don't need to even try this recipe. Lost me at the cider vinegar and tub of salt right out the gate. Lots of people love it with eggs but not my happy place at all. You'll find somebody that loves em to dump em on. lol

OMG you guys are sooooooooo freaking CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love your channel so far and this is only the second video I've watched! I have a quick question. Should I cook my eggs for less time (so soft-ish in the center) so they don't get overcooked when putting in the cooked brine? Also, Instant pot is TOTALLY worth it y'all (yeah I say y'all because I'm from NC LOL!). I hard boiled 30 eggs in 24 minutes! They peeled like a dream! I was so floored. Definitely a worthy purchase for sure. ;)

I started using the Pioneer Woman’s method from the Food Network to boil eggs. I’ve never looked back. Now with this method I don’t dread the peeling process. I make pickled eggs all the time. Thanks for your fun video and recipe😊

I would like to try these....they look good. I have a question. Have you guys ever eat pickled pigs feet? i did when I was young and I liked them but if I tried to eat them now I would probably gag😁 Funny how our tastes change over the years. Love your positive attitudes. Which is why I watch. Have a great rest of the day.I am from Tennessee which explains the pickled eggs😊

Put the eggs in after the water boils, then the shells won’t stick to the eggs.

@L EH Agreed! And if you let the eggs come up to room temp before dropping them in the boiling water, they wont crack either! :))
