Honestly people are wrong. Move count for CFOP in 2022 is sub50 for me and it should be for you, you only need 3-4 tps for sub50 movecounts. Even then, there’s no one that can’t turn at 5 TPS anyway so why bother arguing about that?
@BrinaSun
@BrinaSun 2 года назад
Also, TUL ZBLL is something you should definitely learn which will make your move count go down

THIS IS actually really Helpful. I am a cuber who averages like 15 seconds ONLY and I think you are right, I pause during F2L (MY GREATEST ENEMY?) so I need to be efficient and Lookahead very good. Nice video Tho!!
@ajaj-yq6re
@ajaj-yq6re 5 месяцев назад
the reality is you need 5-6 tps with efficient solutions. Here is some basic math. if you want a sub 10 with 3 tps you need less than 30 moves which is basically world record level efficiency and super easy scrambles. If you want a sub 10 solve with 4 tps your solve would be less than 40 moves which is high unlikely. For your solves to be sub 10 with 5 tps your solves with need to have less than 50 moves which makes sense. For most people who aren't super efficient and don't know every single possible f2l 6 tps is more realistic. Aim for 6 or higher which is when you'll start to actually get good. Almost every pro has 10+ tps so with an inefficient solve so around 60-65 moves you'll still average around 7 secs or faster with some pauses

Great video, really. I usually do a handful of solves on cubeast with the ganicarry (cuz Gan's app seems to still be trash at this point 🤦‍♂️) and my TPS is in the 3-4s range with my most recent ao1000 around 21s. But I'm well aware it's my efficiency more than anything that's the time killer. Cuz I can pull 16tps with 4 x Sexy, E-perm in a second, T-perm in a second, etc. Though a few of my slower OLL and PLL algs could probably be upgraded. So, really it's just the pauses for recognition and inefficient F2L shenanigans. Like, I realize I don't actually have a full solution for all 41 F2L cases. I have like, maybe half (generally, the ones where corner and edge are already in the top layer) and the rest I'm always haphazardly fenagling them into one of those cases. Some of those fenagling solutions have become more or less standardized from solving so much but I don't know if they're the most efficient. It's just most efficient that *I* could see. Might be something better. But also, even though I can run many of those solutions blind, I still have a lot of situations where I simply don't see shit when I look around the cube as I'm running them 😐 Anyway, yeah, TPS is probably not the #1, or even #2 time killer.

Well yeah, you can do 15 wec with 3 tps and a good scramble. With 5 tps that will be sub 10 sec or 12 sec for not so good scramble. I myself want to work at lookahead a bit but Im still lazy ) For this as I know you need to learn the corner pieces to recognize them with unseen colors. Second you need to learn how the simple moves like RUR' affect other pieces to know what happening with the cube when you turning. And third practice slowturning with different tempo to have a time for thinking but doing it nonstop.

@@BrinaSunif im being generous. Cross on average takes six moves.. If im being generous, (very generous) F2l on average takes 20 moves. There is absolutely no way your last layer would be 14 moves without zbll, and you have to remember that a 20 move f2l is rare even with maximum efficiency and a 6 move cross is just kind of lucky. Dude. Being efficient at cfop gives u 50 move solutions on average. Consistently below 50 moves is sus if you aren’t Tymon. (And why would you want to get as good as Tymon efficiency-wise and not work on your tps? That’s just trading one form of training for another. None of them is easier) That means u definitely need more than 3-4 tps to be sub 10. Use a metronome and framecount an ao100. If u can pull off sub 10 ao100 at 3.5tps( U said 3tps in the vid but I’ll give u an extra 0.5tps coz why not ) If u can pull that off, I’ll switch to cfop, no cap😆.
