Wait… this was an incredible video. I’ve been looking more for these kinds of videos that have such a huge focus on visual storytelling. I say this over and over, my favorite storytelling principal is don’t give 4, give 2+2. The “sorry we’re closed” shot and the momentum built up in the cinematography and editing was so much more powerful than someone in selfie mode just saying “Aw man it’s closed.” I felt a gut punch when I saw that lol I am not over exaggerating by saying this was one of the most inspirational RU-vid videos I’ve seen in a long time when it comes to my own filmmaking ☺️

It might be simple to you but this is probably the best type of vlog I’ve ever seen. Other RU-vidrs focus too much on having something interesting to do and it comes off as less authentic. You made it authentic without being boring all while being a cinematic masterpiece.

I remember having a conversation with an uncle of mine who was (back then and still is) in the film industry. He was talking about how the younger generation will never underatand why some shots are more powerful than others. The seemingly mundane shots (for example: garage door opening or the car drive b roll) only makes sense all the more because that's the story you're saying through the video and I love it! Your videos are such a breath of fresh air, i can literally feel it. I love how it kinda gives this retro hollywood flim vibe and i'm honestly living for it. The thing you said at 5:25 is really inspiring. FIlming & editing is of course on point, but especially like the way you breakdown and simplify such seemingly complicated topics, and even have a simple line to remember that can sum up the lessons of the whole video.
