Hey Jake. your bang on. I was hired to work in a local wig shop. i watched them for one day and was like. "WTF???Jake!!!!!!!! They have been in business for 30 years. I never went back. they had systems in filing cabinets. It was scary all lace Thanks Jake for waking me up to hair systems 2023. Your Ficking awesome ...from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Enjoy ur content and has helped a great alot. Just tried my first hair system a week ago. Learned to make template, cut hair system, glue, etc., all from RU-vid. One mistake I made was going to a local barber shop to cut it. The girl there butchered it. I immediately went to a Local Salon about 30 minutes later. The stylist there did an awesome job. I may remove it again this week, as I see Poly on my hairline in the front, and would like to trim it even closer. Keep doing what your doing and thanks for all the helpful tips.
Just ordered a hair system glue tape nice scissors mani head and scalp protector. Had a smaller FUE in the front in 2012 now continuing balding on top. Bought all the stuff just uneasy about taking the plunge. I work in healthcare and going into work would be like uhhh but honestly I do t care at this point I’m 40 and dealt with this bullshit for 20 years. I’m at peace with it either way ya know.
So many of my coworkers couldn't place what was different when I walked in with hair. I thought that was so funny. I told everyone what I did, IDGAF. I look SO MUCH BETTER and everyone told me as such. It's a huge adjustment at first but now I can't imagine being without it.
Do it. Your colleagues will probably give you grief, but that will fade away. Luckily I work from home and off camera most of the time. I've been bald for decades and recently started wearing a system, slowly getting more confident. I hadn't expected things like shop workers or people in the street being nicer to me, just more pleasant.
Hi Jake, really informative videos. I'm in the UK and just finding a stylist not connected to one of those well known companies that insist on paying for subscription is almost impossible. I've been wearing a system for about six years now, having finally identified an independent stylist and gathering up the courage to start the journey. I did my research and decided that I was going for a thin skin base as this appeared to be the easiest to maintain for a new wearer. However when I went for my consultation with my stylist she told me that I needed a lace base with a poly perimeter. The reason she gave was because of the way she would attach the system. As a novice at the time I took this as being the way things have to be, so went along with what she told me. Yes she is her 50's and even when I continued to question switching over from lace to a skin base, my stylist just insist that lace is the best option and dismissed my proposed switch. Now I realise that she's not comfortable or confident with working with thin skin systems.
I'm more interested in what to look out for as a consumer. Spending money on disasters is worth all efforts to avoid. Thank you for the advice I'm hearing so far. 👍
It sucks because I understand not having options. Only two people in my area seem to work with hair systems, and I went with the younger option. I'm so happy. SO happy. My confidence isn't just back, it's through the roof.
Glad to hear it is having such a positive impact on you. For me it has been more subtle but I'm beginning to see other things I can do in life now. And less tolerant of self excuses - for example, I don't eat after 4pm now as I DESERVE a slim and fit body. Before, I just gave in to food temptation, because I didn't like what I looked like anyway.
@@MarkHadleyUKI still don't eat great, haha, but I've had the same thought process with clothes. Before it was like, why bother dressing up? I'll still just be a bald guy in a nice shirt. And now I wanna try different looks, glasses, hairstyles -- all things I completely gave up on before.
It seems like these stylists do not like when you get info online…. My barber got pretty annoyed when I told him I find info online, he said everybody online is wrong and has no idea what they’re talking about and that I need to stop reading. I understand he’s got 5 years in the industry , but I would be insane not to research such an expensive and drastic change to my appearance…. 🤷🏻♂️
Hi bro! I've been watching your videos for a couple weeks now and love the content, I've been suffering from hairloss since 14 (now 26) and have been holding the line for the most part with lots of meds.. something I've looked into since the beginning is hair systems and yours looks great! Hair systems are probably something I'll consider at some point. Because I know it's a system I THINK I can tell at the hairline but I'm not sure.. it still looks amazing and this gives me hope.. keep up the great work 🙏
The person you helped said he spent 1200 dollars so far. Is that a reasonable amount to spend? What would be a reasonable amount initially, monthly, yearly? Thanks!
Hey Jake I am a barber/stylist. You hit on the head 😅 Old stylist are mostly not up to date on new cuts. I would recommend finding a young barber who is an amazing cutter and ask them. You will be surprised and new stylist is the best way. from and barber since 1984. I am now going to focus on being the best hair systems stylist in Kingston Ontario. I see cancer patients wearing horrible wigs. I am going full on. Thanks Jake for all your hard work making these videos. I am so excited to open the world to todays hair systems let's bring it into competitions too.
Hey Jake! I've dealt with those clowns before I moved back to LA. In LA though, the choice is kinda skimpy considering it's the vanity capital of the world. Always looking out for a great stylist though. If you have any recommendations, please sent 'em my way.
That stylist from the story is sadly a type that exists but they are considered the bad kind. You always give the right care instructions and you never try set someone up to keep handing you money if they don’t have to. Also which hair stylist doesn’t deal with knots? 😂 that’s like a given if you work with hair.
He Jake keep up the great content. I have been suffering from hair loss for many years now, however terrified of taking the plunge and getting a sysyem. I would be grateful if we could have a chat regarding your journey and experince. Thx for all your guindance.
Hi, Jake. I think it would be interesting to hear about some of the communication skills you mentioned. Over the years I've watched a number of videos from the Charisma on Command channel and have actually started to implement a little of it recently. Most people watching this are trying to improve their lives and that does not start or end with hair systems. Mark
Jake my insecurities associated with hair loss made me so mad that I stopped to going out during mi 25 from now that I m 27. I’m thinking to start using an hair system but before to use an hair system I need psychological improvement maybe helped by a good psychologist… but I need fortune to find a good psychotherapeutic. A lot of psicologist are against surgery or hair system and will influence me I have to choice a good one like the psychologist that you interviewed…
@@ModelSkyscrapers he say that I have to accept and not make hair system or transplant…. In his opinion if you use it you are weak … I don’t think because Jake Kent is a strong person with success in work and love even if he haven’t accepted bald but he find his solution
Hey jake, been watching your vids for awhile now and for the first time in years this channel gave me hope ….welI I finally decided to buy a system after 4months of constantly watching your vids.. I’m having a problem though, on lavivid and lordehair they don’t exactly say if it’s poly/lace based . the people that run the sites arent much help. I wanted a poly based system for a shorter cut like you have here and was wondering if you could recommend me a system under $250. I really like the mirage from lavivid but it says toupee on the description? , unlike all the other listings..I’m so confused… I just want a good poly based lol
Jake how many hair system do you use in a year . How much money do you spend every year? Even if price in America are different than Italy where I live
personally, i wont get precut systems for people. the haircut will never look optimal if you dont go to a barber to blend it in. just my personal ethics.
Hey man I'm new to this and have a question, do the hair systems have BPA's or parabens that could leak into your system and effect hormones? This is my number one question and need an answer before I go through with it
