“Living in crazy world” is an understatement. I can’t hardly stand the news anymore. Nothing good is happening that’s for sure. Glad you got your generator. Knowing you can plug in your freezer and refrigerator gives a peace of mind.
My goodness...that hail is really hailing! Nice your solar generator arrived before the weather turned wet. Fits perfectly in that little space. It is close to 2am here. Too much day time recovery sleeping is now keeping me awake. I think friendships/relationships are much harder than they use to be. I often wonder if all the trends of the times contribute to the difficulties. So many people are always on the defensive. It is exhausting to try to assess the moods, irritations, dislikes, etc, etc of others and, quite frankky, I don't want to. Is just too much work trying non-stop to keep myself in check. My little tribe of forever friends is perfect for me. We know each other well and can just be who we are. We do have similar beliefs which is important. Chloé is home and happy after her spa day. Such a good girl! 🐶💖
@@dianabythebeach I think all of the bad news these days is driving some people to look at everything as a potential attack. It's crazy and makes them mean and over reactive. It's like one big huge cult mind. You're right about sticking with friends and family that bond well with you. Leave the rest behind.
Get yourself one of those magnetic vent covers that direct the air forward into the room instead of straight up. That made a huge difference for my plants for just a very low price.
Spa Day!! Chloe is getting the works! 😊 ❤ I love that coffee cup with the black background you were using! It sure is pretty! Yes, always be yourself, that is my moto. I am who I am....🤔 Wow, I could definitely hear that hail storm!! 🌨 Your pups are so adorable!❤ Have a great evening Ellen!! God bless you. 😊
About three months ago I made chili with TVP. It made several portions, pulled one out today, it was so good. I will continue to experiment. Enjoy the fall weather.
Ellen, good on you for bulking up your self-reliance supplies. We have a gas generator, but when the black friday sales come out, I hope to get a solar power station similar to the unit you got. I'm also wondering if I should get a buddy indoor heater that uses propane. My only concern with that is where to store the 1 lb propane bottles as they can't be stored in the house or attached garage. And we don't have a detached shed. I need to think more on that. We do have 2 gas fireplaces in our home, but I think in a complete power outage in the dead of winter, they wouldn't keep the house warm enough. As far as sharing my opinions with people around me, oh boy.... one of the biggest lessons I learned over the past 4 years is that a lot of people I was "friends" with couldn't handle my opinions. One of my girlfriends that I've known since the 3rd grade started making terrible comments to me about my decision to not get the C19 jab and not wearing a mask in public places. She told me I was selfish and that I was going to kill people. Needless to say, I told her I did not like the way she talked to me and I didn't want to get together with her anymore. We haven't spoken since 2021. I work in healthcare IT and healthcare is a very liberal slanted workplace. I work on a team where everyone is a registered democrat and I'm the only republican. They don't know that I'm republican because I think they would eat me alive. Whenever politics come up at work, I have to play along with them. Sigh. I do have opinions, but I don't want to make waves. As an introvert, I really hate small talk and want to talk about deeper thoughts and feelings, so I completely agree with you about being your authentic self. I feel like I can only do that around people who can handle opinions that are different than their own and it's hard to know who those people are. My husband and adult children all love to talk about real issues and opinions. Luckily we all can be respectful of each other's opinions and have constructive conversation.
@@amy11228 a lot of people bought into the covid panic and all the ridiculous mandates they imposed. I didn't play along either. I just didn't trust their rhetoric. Turns out I was right in trusting my own judgement. Nothing selfish about that.
I knew I would be spending money today. First PT appt for husband and then I went to get my hair cut. Stopped at Goodwill and local thrift store (75% off) but didn't buy anything. I'm looking for specific items and I'm just not buying things I don't need. I got my walking pad yesterday and got it out to try it out. It will take a bit of getting used to, I still prefer walking outside but at least I can walk inside on rainy and really cold days. Also stopped by buy Arby's sandwiches for my husband per his request and I'm placing an Amazon order for some household necessities. Wow that's a lot of hail!
Like you, I don’t mind if somebody has a different opinion. I think it’s interesting to listen to different opinions! You be you and I’ll be me, smile…
Hi Ellen. I watched this video last night on my Roku tv. I was excited for you to get your generator. What brand is it? Lizzie is excited to get her turn at the groomers 🤣 ❤ 🐶 Like 99 👍
When I had 3 or more dogs I would take them to the groomers the same day all at once. I did the same at the Vet. That way I get a family plan discount.
I was just talking to my friend about how it used to take 4 hrs to clean the house, now it takes 4 days! Lol That was quite a hail storm! Glad you got your generator. How do the dogs act when your handy men come over? Have a nice eve.❤
