Mike Love is proof that with age, the power of the voice just doesn't hold up. Still, he's doing a good job of keeping the music alive, as it were. He was a great singer and deliverer of the BB's work.
Saw the show in INDY last night. Outstanding concert with the orchestra! Definitely the best production and musical presentation that I have witnessed in the past few years. I give Mike Love a lot of credit for keeping this live music going at so many venues across the world. There won't be too many more years that we will be able to enjoy this representation of The Beach Boys music. Thanks to Mike, Bruce, Scott, John, Tim, Ike, Keith, Christian, and Randy, not to mention the wonderful Holiday Vibrations Orchestra, for putting on a truly great performance in INDY!!
It was an absolutely amazing show! I would say that this was the best performance that I’ve seen from them so far. The orchestra really made the night for me. It makes the show so much more magical.

thank you.. will be here in Des Moines Dec 15th.. nice set of songs .. all classic's all the hits... I was 10 when they started in 62 with SURFIN' , so grew up listening this guys .....
The Beach Boys I started to enjoying in 1965, when I was old enough to sing with them, I thank my mother very much for keeping her high school yearbook ( hawthorn high school with them)and showing them to me and how they became such a wonderful band. So keep it coming!😊
@@Frenite i stayed after with my dad and some random guy next to me helped me get an autograph. i asked the stage manager upfront if she could get it signed for me really quick, told her i wasnt gonna sell it and only wanted to hang it in my room. she said one second and took it from me for a few minutes. came back and it was signed by bruce and mike, also got the setlist!
@@NickGT50 Cool! I tried to wait by the exit for Mike and Bruce to come out, but security shooed all the fans away. I was able to meet Christian Love though and have a brief conversation with him. He even gave me his used guitar pick.
@@Frenite thats what prevented me from getting an autograph directly. the ac concert last year i had the chance if i had brought somethingto be signed, was too late. i saw them throwing picks as well! thats sick
@@NorthernExposureSlots They did stay the night. I believe everyone went to their rooms after the show, except for Bruce. I saw Bruce walking into the casino area.
@@NorthernExposureSlots I’ve met Mike and Bruce a few times after concerts and had conversations with them. I wouldn’t say I know them too well though.
This is a version of the Beach Boys that I’ve been far from impressed with, but have to admit that this was well worth the watch on RU-vid, very different, good listening all round.
Great show...love the Christmas tunes Santas Beard/Man with all the toys being done...love that album. Required listening at Christmas! Of course for me this isn't The Beach Boys.....I saw these guys here in England some 5 years ago and they were great. Mike owns the name which always grates on me bcos they all worked for it and should have the right to use the name! Still great to know theyre all still oout there doing it though! Even if theyre in two diffrent bands...mind you Al Jardine has his so it's 3 isn't it!?
I saw my first Beach Boys concert in 1992, around the time they did their 30th anniversary tour. It was also the same year that Jump Around by House of Pain was released. Now, THAT song is 30 years old, and the Beach Boys are still touring. Wow.
Something happened at 52:25 that was off and made Scott Totten look around in shock! It sounded like the orchestra was completely off with their timing or something...true pros carried on though.
Ok if love wants to tour and pay royalties to BRIAN WILSON, fine. He's a coward for not touring under his own name. HE IS NOT THE BEACH BOYS....Would you go to a Ringo Starr concert, then tell people you saw The Beatles???
Actually, Love’s band pays royalties to Al. When the band essentially broke up in 1998 after Carl’s death, Al and Mike fought for the naming rights. They ended up reaching a settlement where Mike got the naming rights while Al got a portion of the touring revenue. Brian never fought for the naming rights or any royalties.
I could be a fan of loves touring, if he would man-up and go out on the merits of his own name. While he was a BEACH BOY, he IS NOT THE Beach Boys. Its a ploy to get the young gullible fans and those who have no grasp of the bands history, to pay for a legendary name, instead of what they're actually getting.....a tribute act.
@@Frenite Actually, Al wanted to tour as The Beach Boys Family & Friends. He did attempt to get the Courts to approve but lost the case. You are right, Mike has a legal agreement with The BB's Corporation to tour as The Beach Boys but cannot put out any new recordings as The BB's, only as Mike Love.
