Mike Love must be the coolest 76-year-old on the planet. He, and the Beach Boys don't get a fraction of the credit they deserve for their achievements and their sheer genius.
A great crew, Mike Love still has his distinct sounding voice just as all the great front men....and rest of the boys are right on time. True clear crisp. Great concert, glad the Boys gave the fans their money's worth. Well done!
I've seen the Beach Boys three times. 1974, 1986 and 2009. I've seen Dennis, Carl, Al, Mike and Bruce, not always at the same time, but I've never seen Brian. I have gotten to see John Cowsill the last time at Mohegan Sun...the best concert of the three.
Well....the endless summer. Still the same long long wave of Southern California. Such guys. In 1963 when Surfin'U.S.A. was a top (but....same sound of Sweet Litttle Sixteen of Chuck..R.I.P.) I was just 3 months old. Bye. Fabrizio. Liguria. North-Western Coast. Italy
Nuestra Sofia Mulanovich campeona mundial del Surf se le debe reconocer como ha sido con otros campeones con esplendor, nosotros la tenemos en nuestra patria haciendo un papel decoroso en el mar con el SURF.
I always like watching Al Jardine play at these shows. He’s always bopping along having fun. Then there’s Brian, looking like a sack of potatoes behind the keyboards. Does he not play bass anymore? Or does he have problems standing? It’s almost like he’s just going through the motions nowadays. Kinda sad ☹️
Two things: 1. yes, it is a pity that Mike has had his differences with the band but he is still a member and 2. why, why, why does anyone even consider the beatles as being anywhere near this group for originality, musicality, harmony and sheer genius?
