Thanks Anthony! I love the figurine too! And I looove deco sodas, and I hardly ever find them! So I'd have been happy with just the Snow Crest bottle and a marble! 😄 This is a 1920s- 30s dump site, so we set our expectations accordingly. Glad you enjoyed the hunt! -Cathy👋😃

The SnowCrest bottle is so pretty, Cathy! You and Drew always find the coolest things. The cut glass shaker is beautiful, even if damaged!❤

Hi Cynthia, The Snow Crest is my fav bottle from that day... but I also love the statue Drew found. Whenever a figure is missing legs or base, I usually stick it in a potted plant... But not sure what I will do with this one yet. Too nice for that, I think. 🤔 That shaker (if that's what it is) will still display nicely. Most importantly, we had fun! 😁😎👍

Hi Anna, I am amazed these fragile,1930s Christmas bulbs and ornaments even survive here! Fun putting them back on a tree again, after some 80-90 years in the ground. -Cathy 😁💖

Native people made fishing net weights by drilling holes in stones. They are a pretty rare find. It was done by people later on too.

Hello Cathy and Drew. Awesome video and bottles finds. Nice relic finds to. Nice soda bottle finds and Lew and I like the big Lynn mass one the best. Did the lady who found the Vermont soda bottle give you that bottle? That is a rarer soda to find in Mass. Maybe you will find another one there next time you go there. The big Double Safety mason jar is really nice find and wasn't damaged in anyway,. That odd rock with the hole drilled in it could be a Indian artifact and might of been used as a early fishing weight. Nice to see the Lynn mass milk bottle even though it had some slight damage. It seemed to have a good displaying side to it. I have a good collection of milk bottles with Lew. If you ever want to sell that let us know or maybe we can send you some of our bottles from your area for it some how. Glad to see you finally had found some marbles and then went home after doing that. LOL! 🙂Hope to hear from you soon and we wish good health and luck to the both of you. Hi Jeff & Lew, Sorry, I meant to get back to you, and leave a reply. Busy week! Helene did not give us the VT bottle. And that Lynn Mass milk bottle is cracked really bad. We will only keep it until we find a better one. We went to the Rowley Mass flea market last weekend, and got some bottles and stuff. That will be our next video. The rivers are still high, but are coming down a bit. We really miss our fav river, and the older bottles. Hope you both are doing well, and can go digging again soon. Take care, Cathy (& Drew)👋😃😎👍

That is a very large jar (half gallon, I think). Too bad that shaker (or perfume) is cracked. It was possibly the oldest thing we found. Thanks for watching and commenting! -Cathy 😁😎👍

Hi Cathy and Drew, lovely video! I like the gas light, they really made everything pretty back in the day didn't they. It always amazes me when I find lots of broken bottles on a tip but all the lightbulbs survive intact, you would think they would break first! The Deco soda bottle is beautiful and I love the Christmas tree light 😍 Hope all is well with you both 😃💖x

Hi Amanda, All is well here. We are hoping to get out this weekend, between the showers ☔ But at least there is no flood watch this week... Sheesh! 🙄 The deco soda was my fav find this day, along with the statue of "the unknown saint" as I will call him for now. Oh yes, and the Christmas light! That was my other fav find! Another one for the 🎄 next Christmas! When I found those light bulbs, I accidentally hit one with my digging tool, and it sounded like a gun went off! 😄 Oh, and someone stole our shovel! Sigh... Oh well. But I think Victorian items have always been my favorite because of how fancy the every day items were! So much pride in workmanship, and attention to detail. Anyway, hope you are doing well, and doing things! 🙂 💖🌸🌼🐦🐿️🦃

@@massriverpickers It's been very rainy here too, farmers are saying their crops have been waterlogged so the prices will go up for fruit and veg 😟I'm sorry your shovel was stolen, some people will nick anything! Anyway, I'm glad you will be back out this weekend and I hope you stay dry. The most I will be doing is grocery shopping and looking after my 'granddog' while his family are out. Hi Larry,👋😃😎 and you're welcome! I love the idea of that tiny bead possibly coming from a moccasin! If it were even smaller, I would think of a 1920s beaded flappy handbag. Fun, the mind pictures a tiny, found bead can create! This is mostly a 1930ish site, but every once in a while, something older turns up. After all, this IS New England! Wow, did you really mean 116°F over there? 😯 We are still going down to the 30s at night! At least the rain is letting up. Hi There! Well, this dump site is circa 1920s- 1930, so we adjust our expectations accordingly. I was hoping for a deco soda!! (And a marble or two!) Most of the bottles are too new for us, but it's fun to research them. Went metal detecting yesterday.. found a large cent, and a strange metal "face". I need to get some detecting vids up soon! The "quill" in the saint's hand is a martyr's palm. Whatever he's holding in the other will be the symbol identifying him, but I couldn't see it clearly. And he's probably a Roman Catholic artifact, since Protestants like Luther didn't go in for saints much.

Thank you so much! I tried researching on the internet... I did see one mention of a palm leaf being a "martyr's palm" . Thanks for confirming that! I just looked again, and it MAY be a flower in the other hand?? But there's not much detail, so I can't be sure. Almost looks like a tulip, or the letter "W" 🤔, possibly a tiny stem underneath. If I can get a good close photo, I will post it on the community page this weekend. -Cathy💖

Yay! Great lark! I think Saint Bessus is your figurine... LOVE the patterns on that Snow Crest bottle!! I had a wonderful shore walk and day yesterday-- still a bit chillier than the previous days, but sunny and lovely. Have you ever heard of COOK'S Leather Cement? Small, pale blue bottle, and I can't find anything. Also found an oddball. A manganese glass beaker-type thing with a base like a wine glass- splayed round and slightly conical. Abruptly widens into a straight cylinder (@ 5 inches), then squeezes down into a very small (neck?) missing the top, sadly. Shape is weird and made me think of drug store stuff. From what I can read from the underside of the base rim: ... __er + Co Phila ' D Pat That's all. I'm stumped and don't even know how to describe it for a google search. Thoughts?

Thank you! I will look into St. Bessus. There was a Cook's leather cement bottle at the flea market in one of our vids. I almost bought it! A nice, crude little bottle.. possibly a competitor of Major's cement, but nowhere near as common. I would be thrilled if I FOUND one! 😃👍 Not sure about the other bottle. We would have to see it.
