Nice session mate. Great little mix of fish. I was in the same spot the day after. Hard going until the sun when down then couldn't keep up. Sole, plaice and Gurnard for me. Shame I wasn't there the day before, missed a lot of RU-vidrs Well done on the 5k 👌

Hi Mark Thanks for the heads up on tripods. The biggest drawback to buying one in the UK is the freight cost t Australia. However, Amazon may have the answer to this and that is to import direct from China. Will investigate further. As for using an oil based bait it is a minefield of conflicting ideas. Berkley are quite positive that fish cannot detect oil based molecules and therefore that any oil based attractant is useless. Their patents (and you can look them up) are all about using water soluble attractants which sets up a scent trail. In the end I think its a case of what works for you. I have created my own bait attractant based on known fish attractants, a carrier (I use propylene glycol which is water soluble and acts as a preservative) and a guar gum as a thickener. Additionally I have added three amino acids but the quantity is critical. When put together this releases the bait scent. You can buy all this stuff quite easily as it is nearly all used by body building freaks. I'll leave it there but if you want more details or more reading matter let me know and I'll give you the references. I think you would be astounded at the amount of research which has been carried out particularly in Asia. Cheers Alan H

Hi Mark Thanks for the video. I am a total noob to sea fishing and have not fished from a beach yet. In the video you say i think you are fishing at 40-60 meters. I noticed a white buoy , could you in relation to the buoy say the distance it is at. Lastly could you tell a budget tripod that will not break the bank (unemployed due to health ) but will last. Keep up the vids there great Oh i would be fishing the Solent area Portsmouth way

Hi Mark - still following you. I have a couple of queries relating to the beach tripods you use. We have nothing down here that remotely resembles them and most of us rely on the old plastic tube stuck in the sand. However, there are some places I fish where a tripod would be great. What do you recommend to buy? The other point is the burley cage we discussed some time ago. I have only just got around to putting one together and have finally, but finally, determined what the bait attractant consists of - amino acids (quantity is critical) plus a number of other additives plus working my way through pages and pages of Berkley Patents and other compounds. Will let you know how I get on with this stuff but I would appreciate a heads up on the tripods. cheers Alan H.
