how my birthdays have felt since covid. they’re supposed to be happy at this age but it just widens this hole in my chest, even my last one didn’t even really happen, was given something that was planned on before i talked about it, and went to a restaurant 6 months later. i hope anything happens this year because i might just cry for an hour. if you have anything you want to get off your chest, this is a safe space to do so.
