The Beach Lifeguard Training Module is designed to provide trainees with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the basics of rescue in open water conditions. Trainees are also given the knowledge to hazard recognition, equipment use and venue management as well as wide variety of other skills.
This training is designed to empower candidates with knowledge and skills to provide beach safety aid to assist in a victim’s survival prior to transfer to a medical or paramedical facility. People who complete this course become certified Beach Lifeguard and will be able to provide urgent care in an emergency. An individual will be informed about safety issues at the open water and be prepared to react properly during an emergency or accident. Preventative measures are also taught to decrease the likelihood of accidents at the beach or surrounding.
