Silver & Gold. New Smyrna Beach metal detecting 2023 using new Minelab Manticore detector. Huntress is well known boat Captain (Capt Lee Noga) and her numerous patents are based on science in the sport of recreational shrimping. She has taken this marine science and infuses it into metal detecting (reading the beach). Navigating beach for targets is more about the read (tide changes/damage to beach) than machine and the coil swing.

Welcome back! I am not sure what or how RU-vid turns them off. I have had it happen to me. Glad you missed me and discovered the mishap. Thanks for letting me know.

It was so good to meet you today!! Thanks for all the useful info. It’s always nice to talk to another female detectorist!

Hi Abby! It was great meeting you too. Yes, there are not many women and we don't get to meet others often. If ever you see me, pls hunt me down. Right after you left I hit a chain and religious medal and had been in ground long time. Yup, I am addicted to the joy this sport brings me and all the people I get to meet. ❤️

Hi Gary, great to hear from you! Renting scooters, ebikes, Segway things, skateboards has added a safety risk. We hunters dodge balls, frisbee, footballs and now rentals . They like buzzing detectorists on foot and in my case on ebike. Yup, I can be salty near 10 years in Navy....Lol...thanks for stopping by

Good hunt. I like your attire. You are very organized. Right down to the water hose. Been detecting for 30 years and never thought to come up with I think something like that!! suspect you were military, I was a marine. Alittle more time and you grow to love the Manicore. Great machine!! Dig on Huntress.

"Ooh Rah" Thank you for your service! I am Navy Hospital Corpsman 10 years. Now, 100% disabled Vet. I am finally one with the manticore. I understand the new tools and all the lights came on in my head. I just had to go thru the pains at first and figure out what is best where. Our beaches remain a mess, tourism down, beach attendance weekend only. The water vest is lifeline, tactical storage, 3 bottle bladder. I am so glad to meet you.

When you get those wild readings. It would be interesting to see what nox would read them as.

I actually catch myself wondering what a Nox would ring. I am told the run of numbers has to do with the Manticore trying to lock down the shape especially multiple metal situation like pendant with a split ring for chain etc.. I am noticing if I coil longer it settles down. I'm glad to be beach hunter because we dig everything vs. discriminate out targets. So, the run of numbers is annoying but I dig all non ferrous targets so it does not affect me. I am watching these runs down to see if there is a pattern so I can see what targets do this...

Don’t you worry about your e-bike being stolen while your detecting on the beach ? Looks like a great idea to use to travel good distance ?

Always enjoy your videos! The snake is really cool! I know you said the path you were taking had to be went over several times. Do you think the targets were missed due to operator error? I’ve owned a Nox 800 for 2 or 3 years now and no deeper than some of those targets were, I have a hard time thinking that me personally would’ve missed those targets if my coil went over them. Nonetheless, great work!

Hi Dave, absolutely operator error is contributes to missed targets. There is a segment of detectorists that run in default factory settings. This sport has hit saturation of hunters on many beaches. There is no agreed upon standards on how to do this sport. Education to learn is so disconnected allowing hunters to believe power up, leave factory settings alone and start walking is the sport. A year ago, most ppl had a Nox for beaches. The manticore goes deeper, puts me in a different pay layer outside of the Nox factory settings. I am pulling old jewelry consistently, I believe these to be Nox misses (costume old stuff). The precious metals harder to realize how long they been in ground especially gold. But given the amt of detectors on Daytona and New Smyrna one has to find their way in this glut. Machine (configuration/pushing machine) is only third of sport, the hunter chooses location and how they process the ground that's a third of sport. last third is the swing. If any one of these areas are weak you open yourself to missing targets. Honestly, I bank on this as my way to survive shear amount of detectorists on the beach now. It has taken me 4 years to shore up my 3 pilars that hold the house of detecting up. I out grew the Nox. Sobering, was watch a gent pull thin gold chain bracelet in small patch of ground I methodicly did, Nox missed it, I watched him, he had a Deus 2. Minelab not giving 800 updates because it was the justification for 900. Legend emerged. Ppl always communicate with other hunters on beach. When I heard about chains the word Nox was not mentioned. Nox can hit big chains but struggles with the dainty ones etc. So my getting a new tech machine was for getting into sand beyond Nox limits and hit micro targets small chains, earrings etc. that are gold I love my Nox 800 but I want more. I have hunted enough with Manticore to say it is hitting deeper and compliments the other two thirds I bring to the table. A machine is only as good as the person who swings it. Remember, my videos 30 days behind, you will see the condition of jewelry found forth coming. Plus, how small of a target manticore can hit, have a compelling video clip that will be shown that will make Nox 800 person agree they would not have hit it. Please understand I am in a minority who puts science above all else in machine choice, path I navigate and the discipline in my swing. Majority of hunters cannot read a beach and tend to be drawn to shiney things like a deep rip current tear or potholes etc...if it's that obvious so many tunes to these scars from angry tides..My trajectory is based on hidden troughs not shiney and not attention getting. I do not make a box and go up and down...that's to random to believe the box I made is holding jewels. Oh, is it because I found jewels in past in my box and have come to repeat the very thing that rewarded me last time. To me, that is random, we have 4 tides a day, sand moves...it's kinda like fishing on water, ppl go to where they caught a fish before. As a boat Capt that is messy thinking...fish move. BUT If you find structure, structure holds a food source fish will come..So, I'm dirt fishing using science to find structure ( hidden troughs) to find the food (jewels).
