Great hunt, wanted to thank you for your service, I hunt daily here on the space and treasure coast, I am a disabled veteran also, I see you ran into Dereck filming his channel also, both of you are legends of the rings, Fireman Jim
Capt I’m still enjoying your videos Great job How do you like the manticore vs the Nox 800 ? I’ve been out of the loop for awhile so just checking the differences HH John
I've got a story you might like ? When I was young (23) in the early 1980s living in Las Vegas Nevada, I got a job @ the M.G.M. Grand as a stage hand on the Jubilee stage and part of my job was to ride the forklift up twice per night holding onto a cage with a huge lion inside, half way up a small section of curtain would open revealing the lion to the audience then I would touch his butt with a cattle prod and he would roar for the crowd but then he would turn around and try to get me and I always had to jump off early so as not to get swiped by his claws ! We would trade the lions out for a new one once per week at Siegfried and Roy's mansion where the lions were housed !!! Cool memories of my youth ! Thanks for the hunt ! G
I'm 60 seconds into this video and I can already tell this is going to be a cool one ! New Subscriber ! Very Nice Challenger Pieces ! R.I.P. to the crew ! I was framing some apartments in the San Fernando, Ca. Valley when it came across the radio news ! I will never forget that day ! Nice snake save ! thanks for the awesome hunt and outing ! G
Thank you for supporting me. It brings me joy seeing so many women out and about. If ever you have question or concern, I'm a comment or email away.. Happy hunting❤️
Hi Mick, nothing broken...I don't mind the noise. I love micro target hunting if I expect to hit chains petite ones. I can hear the target loud and clear. It's not for everyone, but to me I want to hear it all. I have hit jewelry the other modes didn't handshake on. My fav mode is not handshake boop-boop. I know it's annoying and future videos I'm silencing it at times to lower annoyance. As a science nerd I am a data rich hunter, and love Manticore low conductor mode, tone prospecting...great topic, thx for bringing it up
Some believe what you say. One of the manticore developers recommended low conductor mode, prospecting mode and I fell in love with it and can hear the smallest of targets. This mode is an acquired taste. I do run sensitivity to 24 to 26 by choice. Took me a minute to adjust but nothing I coil.over to include micro targets get missed. Appreciate your comments.
I'm in low conductor mode, prospecting theme, sensitivity 24-26 by choice. I'm used to it and no micro little thin target can escape me. I don't like beach general, don't use saltwater, like beach deep and my fav is low conductor mode...Yup, it's noisey but I block it out , target comes thru strong. I don't know many who like it, but my gold and silver has gone up cuz the small stuff gets missed and this mode is deadly . Thanks for commenting
Actually, they defaulted on deal, they have 3 million tik Tok followers. They were going to drive traffic to the video. Gave them a custom thumbnail, link and I was ghosted. I didn't see that coming. They were at hotel to punk staff to get content for social media. Lying to me did hurt, but Kharma will get them and reward me. Thanks for commenting
No, sands in Central Florida are not a problem. I love Manticore beach low conductor mode, prospecting theme tones, run sensitivity 24 to 26. Developer engineer on Manticore build told me to set it up this way. Some cannot handle it, lower sensitivity some but if you tough it out, you will be rewarded. Thanks for commenting.
Hi Scott, Thank you the support. May the winds be at your back in Destin. Gulf side of Florida is different, we are tidal on Atlantic. Gulf has a treasure trove going waist in. I don't know if Hurricane iDalia dragged in sand or not. Then again she might have pushed some treasure into dry. Either way, how exciting planning this adventure and wishing you safe travels & incredible targets❤️
After 1 year treatment for plantar fascitis, Podiatrist strongly recommended I wear Hoka Hopara water shoes, $135. I lost battle, it's so much better but heavily scarred because of doing lots half marathons from 60 to 64 y.o. I just broke little toe month ago on bad foot . I need surgery and just trying to decide when. The shoes are a game changer, it at least kept me in the sport. The damage I did to it would not reverse as much as we hoped. Croc shoes for 5 years did me in. A shoe must not ba able to bend under pressure, if you can bend your shoe in half it's gonna damage your feet over time. Hoka cannot be bent but super comfy with thin bobby socks. Hope, I answered your question..Bought them hoka.com.
@HuntressChannel numerous 13 mile marathons in your 60s is incredible. I can’t even run 1 mile. You're gonna live forever. I thought your footwear looked interesting so l had to ask. Thank you for all the details about your foot issues. Your advice on proper footwear is very helpful. I'm glad you found comfortable shoes so you can keep doing what you love to do. Maybe I'll try a pair of Hoka's. They look nice and comfy. Thanks for the link too. Keep swinging. ⛱️💍
@@mammydammy If your feet are pain free, I highly recommend Keen women whisper sandal, water shoe, $85. My having wore Crocs and walking miles on beach caused the tendon disease to nearly force me to quit sport. I ignored my foot probs for years. Wishing you best, stay in contact and if I can do anything for you or answer questions, please feel free.
@HuntressChannel You're a wealth of knowledge. That's very kind of you to offer your assistance. Hoka and Keen are good looking quality footwear. I wear New Balance because of the variety available in men's 4E wide and fortunately i dont have foot pain. That sucks that the Crocs messed up your feet but I don't think anything will kerp you down. I know my RU-vid name is misleading. Ha 👍
Yes, it different targets get missed due to latency, handshake interference etc. All those years with Nox 800 I could have hunted in gold mode.. That's probably what led to giving Manticore 4 beach modes, one being low conductor which is gold mode on Nox 800. Yes, it's like Navy guy listening to sonar, you hear whales, dolphins and then a propeller sound gets ya sitting up at attention..I run sensitivity higher for max depth, but I made myself adapt for 1 good reason. Cape Canaveral Engineer Tom Dankowski mentored me, bought his training DVD on how targets stratify etc. Minelab brought him on Manticore development team. He told me to choose low conductor mode for beaches, prospector theme, run 24 plus sensitivity. It was a shock hunting in this chaotic mode compared to quiet and occasionally beep beep we're used to. I am a believer, I love it and I have a big advantage on the beach hitting micro jewelry missed by others. Go to tomdankowski.com..Trust me, buy the $30 video how to hunt using science. He has message board, top 10% in sport hang there...this is where I came from.
Hello my friends! I think about you guys. I don't hunt as much anymore. I screwed my right foot up, seen Podiatrist every 3 weeks for a year, long treatment. Inflammation is gone but the scarring now requires surgery and was told to consider when... *Sigh*. I am in love with Manticore, struggled with it for first 3 months. It has so 4 beach modes and 100 target ID....Nox was ez and 40 target ID. I put time in, learned online and light bulbs came on....I knew I out grew my Nox, I knew there would be no more updates. I knew Nox struggles with thin gold chains etc. Yes, it was the right machine for me. The technology in the manticore, deus 2, legends Noktra...helps compete with all the ppl in the sport now. I love my Nox 800 but I hit inflection point where I just out grew it. So glad to hear from you. ❤️
@@HuntressChannel sorry to hear about your foot. We are well, I have been using the Legend and am pretty happy with it. Kathy has been using the Xterra a lot and has been doing well with it. Kathy saves her Legend for Relic hunts. We both still use our Nox’s on occasion but probably will be looking at the Manticore or Deus 2 next 👋👍
You try to do the right thing and people look at you like they have no idea what you are doing! I feel good karma coming your way. The hotel staff….not so much.
You said that so eloquently. That experience was a 5 gallon ice water over my head moment. Recovery and returns are one of my favorite moments. Now, with returning the iPhone I was guarded when I reunited phone with owner. In time I will get past it. Playing video back I could see how professional I tried to be. But, I knew I was on the cusp of making a right turn and no doubt I would have been removed. I'm glad I kept my disappointment in check. lol, not my strong suit. Your words are so comforting, thank you.👍❤️
You know my son, "Metal Detecting Channel". Most detectors are very courteous and are the first to help you find a lost item at no charge. He found a $10,000 dollar ring and the only thing he got in return was a dinner card from "The Gold and Diamond Source". Nothing from the owner except a hug and a thank you. Little do they know how many hours are put in trying to find lost treasures or someone's lost item. Remember, you do things for your well-being, not for there's. Keep it up.
You did the right thing Lee. That"Hospitality" worker needs to go through more training! She couldn't care less about you or the guest that lost the key. The way she nonchalantly said she would just throw it away was despicable!. She gives the industry a bad name and her boss needs to know how she is representing them. Good job on keeping your cool!
Good job Lee! You did way beyond what people do these days. That hotel worker shows, just from her body language, that she is not willing to do anything beyond her outlined job description. Just the way she looked at you and was going to go in the back when you were approaching. Shame on her. Good on you. I hope the guy got his key back.
Thanks for commenting. I struggled with letting go of the key. I have to believe they gave him the key and I am certain they did not give him the note. You rock! Thx.
I am sorry but your setting on prospecting is not the right one for the beach. You will find all the micro targets just fine on beach setting and the sound will be much much better.
There is so much discussion about Manticore modes. Let's just say I have inside info from one of the manticore developers. It's not for everyone, it works for me 👍
The noise is low conductor mode and tones are set to "prospecting" for Manticore. It is far more chaotic than "beep beep" but in that white noise, I can hear the micro targets, hence putting up with it.
