Seeing you pick up 5 rings was a kick! I mostly detect in the desert or on Ventura County beaches. If you are still looking to do an X-Ray on your coil(s), I use LA X-Ray in Sun Valley to do radiographic inspections. Most of my products include coils with light magnet wire - so it should work pretty well for you. Have you just tried your pinpointer to find which braces are without coil wire(?).

Is there anything special you need to do to metal detect on the beaches. Like permits or anything

Check local park rangers or municipalities. Always ask permission. public beaches generally are open for detectorists. Ive had permits from parks never a beach. Cover your holes take the trash away.

Looks like the coil bracing was all cut out at beginning of video then later on i see the right side still has some. I know you cut them all out but did i see that right?

All of that bracing is absolutely unnecessary. It's identical to the new M9 no difference.
