Hi Ken! Thanks for waiting for me. Sports Med podiatrist evaluate me every 3 weeks, they let me hunt after a boot for 2 months and steroid shot in heel. In that time I flared and I'm getting 2nd shot June 20th and back in boot for 10 days. Best news, is that 3 weeks allowed me to get a handle on this new Manticore and adjust my hunting strategies to make use of all the gifts. I hope to return back to weekly vids which I cut back to a x2 month cuz of bad foot. Finally Dr. found a water shoe that works for me. If I don't heal conservative the surgery takes me off beach for 1 year. NO NO NO. But, got 3 vids in the can and hopefully ya cannot tell I been booted on the sidelines.
His Ms P! I never expected to be sidelined for so long but did a number on my plantar fascia. They repeat ultrasound every 3 weeks, getting 2nd injection in 2 weeks and back in boot. Doc gave me 3 weeks to go play to see how my foot does. Saw him 2 days ago and hit a set back already so that triggered shot #2 coming. Great news it's not painful, end of last year, hunting made my eyes water but ignored it and really did some damage self inflicted. Hunting has that effect on us, huh? Hugs, great to see you!
Tim! So glad to see you. Recovery blows...and we are waiting for your return back. Folklore says every beach has a 1000 rings lost. Dr gave me 3 weeks to see if I flared up and I did. Until he shoots me up with steroids have run the tides this cycle. But, shot lots content for next 2 videos. Dr said shot plus 10 days in walking boot. That's better than 8 weeks he gave him. Just can't do surgery, that's ends 2023 . So, I am hunting smarter. riding ebike to delicious reads to cut walking down, and finally bonding with Manticore...did I mention my camera was stolen off my tailgate few weeks ago. Life will never take my joy...and I know it will not take yours either. Stay strong!
Hello Dear friend! Lol, about to get sidelined again, Dr gave me freedom for 3 weeks and foot flared. 2nd steroid being scheduled back in boot 10 days. Omg, hunting is my happy place, getting hang of new detector as you will see in next couple vids. Hope you turned a corner and feeling better. Hugs
Believe me, it is a joy to step back on the beach. Dr has me on short leash. Just gonna hunt smart and walk less. I have specimen in water and it smells burned. Have not taken it up to St Augustine maritime dept yet. Dr. gave me 3 weeks of hitting beach and well, um...foot flared getting another steroid and back in boot. Been battling this a year and didn't seek treatment till last Oct. Every 3 weeks I get imaged....Best news is got an ebike and can ride and read the beach cuts down walking...thanks for support it means alot to me
Hi SBD, I hate generalizing and that's hard when your talking about different machines. Machine has to fit the hunter. In my case, the 4 modes on the Manticore offer me more tools to choose from during my read (navigation). I do not a make a box and and drag shovel type, each step I make is calculated and I go in a straight line. There is productive and non-productive beach, you could land on 100 yards of good beach and then have 300 yards of bad beach. The good and bad are contingent on beach changes from moon cycle etc. There are other factors, just not getting into it now. I am a scienced based hunter, so getting 4 modes opens up tools for different strategies I may initiate. The Nox was very good to me but I out grew it, and needed more things. The Manticore best compliments my style. Choosing a machine is so individualized....I did not mean to broad stroke my initial response. Right now our beaches are under lots of coil pressure, beach damage, decrease in visitors, hotels not doing well. The 4 distinct beach modes allows me to choose the right tool for the territory I am in vs Nox 800 2 modes that that were basically the same kinda giving me no choice. Manticore gives me the control of what I need and when I need it vs Nox 800 is what it is and I cannot do much about it.
@@HuntressChannel yeah I know all that... I watch all you RU-vidrs using that manticore... I've been doing this for about 10 years of use many machines White's Garrett Deus.. and minelabs.. I know it works.. if the Manticore does good for you.. that's great! I'll still be out here picking everything up you missed 😆😆😂😄🤣
@@HuntressChannel part 2.... I'm a huntress fan! I love watching your RU-vid channel.. so it was just poking a little fun at the Manticore... sorry if it came off the wrong way 🏴☠️
Absolutely, I am a science based hunter and the Manticore gives me 4 beach modes. I was skeptical and was looking a Deus 2. I bought the Manticore because of TomDankowski.com who has mentored me. Nothing I do on the beach is random, my navigation to targets are by my calculations/decisions. I walk a linear line, I am not a "box" dragging a shovel. Our beaches since hurricanes are under high foot pressure by a surge in detectorists. I watched my Nox 800 miss targets. I can hit deeper than the Nox. I am spared digging lots of junk targets because of 2D tracing and can see non-ferrous which I want to dig. I got my settings, I use all 4 modes constantly, and I am hitting jewelry at a pace others are not (Nox users 600/800). The beaches are getting busy, but we are still very lean on targets. Watch other channels in my area...watch how consistent I am over the next several videos :-) The Manticore was the weapon I needed to coil targets because I bring the "read" into the hunt. The saturation of hunters is not something we are used to seeing. It takes more skill than ever to hit jewelry costume/precious metal) consistently. Manticore 4 modes gives me tools the Nox 800 could not. Took me a minute ( long minute) to figure out how to best harness these tools. It was a bit of an overload to change the way I hunt and expand my strategies to embrace these tools....lots of trials and errors. I have my footing now. I made the right decision to abandon the Equinox. My read and its tech has made us a team.
