Always look forward to your videos! I live nowhere near a beach, and it was fun to see your Scotland videos. It seems like dirt detecting is different from lakes or streams, is different from beach. Lots to learn.
Thank you! Dirt fishing is very different. I love it, but it's not very lucrative in South Florida. Everything nearby is very new. Old land is getting harder and harder to find :(
Good job! You know, I understand how people can lose jewelry, sunglasses, even fishing lures/weights, but I just don't understand the spoon out so far! lol
great hunt guys and as usual great video Shawn, sure gets me itching to get out to florida again.. cool to see you getting a bit famous now, dont forget about us small people :P
yup vlf is not a bad choice. i have the equinox 700 ( no gold mode). and my gold monster 1000 ,minelab channel says gm 1000 in better the gold mode on the equinox. be out the 24th. swing the gold monster. have a good day.
There use to be about a group of 5 that would go down to certain every day around 5 in the evening they would line up and make one pass down and back and leave keep on diggin😊😊😊😊
Dang dood I was running an XP deus 2 and was getting a little bit not much and my son in law was using an old junk bounty Hunter 79 dollar you know. Which one little junk thing and he was killing it I mean nine gold rings three necklaces two giant bracelets with diamonds and one huge platinum bracelet that easily went over four ounces.
Dude like a little 12 inch square floating sifter would server you well when hunting beaches with lots of shells just dump all them shells on that sifter and find the targets much easier and faster
I used to use a Whites pulse in the 90s and early 2000s - I use a Fisher cz21 now - I dig everything and hunt in all metal Ive found over 1000 pieces of gold Continued good luck 👍
Gotta catch those tides at the right time! It can be frustrating for sure! I drive to the east coast to detect every now and then, and we're usually greeted with huge crashing waves. Its always a huge bummer!!
Good hunt. Man I wish our ocean was that flat. I couldn't tell you how many rings are in waist deep water. What spot did you pick for lunch??? Love the scallops at the Dockside in Venice !!!!
Nice hunt! And you're right, lifelong White's Surf PI user (they sure do get insane depth) in the saltwater here. For freshwater I'll use either my White's MX Sport or Equinox 800 and for land either my CTX3030 or E-Trac... but with the Pulse machine, if you use it enough, you get pretty good at "sizing up" a target. I'd love to know what camera setup you're using to get such clear sound. Thanks!
I use a GoPro Hero mounted on an elastic head strap. Takes a little getting used to to get the correct camera angle. I still screw it up once in a while and don't aim in the right spot lol
CASPER METAL DETECTING here...big fan why dont you get or make a floating sifter so you dont have to struggle in high shell areas? would save you a lot of time - especially if you can get or make a non metal one
The problem is that the current gets strong, and that can be a hazard if its attached to me. Floating sifters are much better suited for river hunters where it stays pretty calm
It depends on where you're hunting. There's areas on the east coast where you must have a lease to search the water. State and national parks are off limits unless you have special permission
@@DetectFlorida , thx for the info! I live in SE-FL, and had read where you had to have special permission. Maybe because it's the Gold Coast / Treasure Coast. Cheers, and thx for the vids.
Where are you that the water or sand smells so bad? I’m in Texas with no desire to metal detect, but I’m surprised at your comments about the water stench. Oh, and the riptide is visibly apparent.
@DetectFlorida ok thanks! I'm on the ringfinders and I get some people from the local MD shop but I'm trying to get the word out because a lot of times people don't know about us and it takes a while for them to contact me which decreases the chances of finding their stuff
