Learn Beach Tennis basics with Carolina Hannes, pro beach tennis player and founder of Beach Tennis Santa Monica. Carolina is currently the 74th ranked beach tennis player in the world. Originally from Brazil, she competes for the USA. AS a former NCAA Division I tennis player and coach, she has a thorough understanding of what it take to succeed at the highest level. If your already playing tennis thats it and this Beach tennis are more on volley side no bounce compare to tennis on the hard court. 😊

@@JonathasSucupira Yes! Im sure you will transition fast. Few of my advices are, no backswings, hit the ball in front of your body instead of the side, and avoid slicing the ball.

Hi, in beach tennis, unlike tennis, does the grip remain unchanged for all the shots?

Hi Frank, Yes! In beach tennis you should keep the same grip for all shots. Check the FAQ videos. I talk about that there. Thank you

Also, at the point of contact when doing the backhand, is the left hand still supporting the racket?

Great Question. It depends on the shot. If you are hitting a dynamic backhand volley, most likely you will let the left hand go, cuz you are getting in front. But defense shots, return of serve and shots closer to your body, you should keep the left hand on the paddle. Thank you
