ohh I am so happy i found this channel, I am subscribed to your beading chane and accidentally I foung this channel too:)) I want to start to work with soutache, thank youuuu!
Have you ever tried nail polish instead of tape. I read that you don't like glue but I see you have nail polish on. It would probably be thinner at the back. Oh and I just love your work and your videos are great to watch and learn with. Your pieces are simply beautiful and art :)
this may be presumptuous of me because you may already know about 2 ways to treat the ends. if you do I am sorry for stating them. On nylon or polyester cord, you can put the ends close to a flame (lighter or candle. for natural materials, such as cotton, there is a product call fraychec (not sure of the spelling). I use that for my cross stitch material. as I said in the beginning, I apologize if you already know this. :).
Which type of this thread is cheaper, for beginning such project? I am really wanting to learn this, but don't want to spend a ton on thread right away.
Clear tutorial, but the work is realy not the perfection of soutache. It's a huge difference in how to arrange the braids, because sides of the soutache braids are different, I can see clearly here, that one strip is going to opposite direction in this stage of project. And the strips are lying very roughly. I wish You a good luch with this technique, I hope You have really improved by time. :)
No I agree it's not perfect, i didn't state it was "the perfection of". Beading4perfectionists is just my youtube name :-), search it on youtube and you will find 3 channels, so instead of giving people 3 links I give them my name so they can find all three channels on the same page :-) I will do my best to improve it cause I really love doing it. I actually plan to enter a contest with a piece of soutache as part of a necklace. :-) Can't say I noticed soutache has two different looking sides, I do notice a lot of difference in all the sort of braids out there though...
