Gianna, I'm sorry but I'm one of those who learn the techniques better when I can hear and see what you are doing. I've tried both styles and I do prefer hearing you. I've done a pair in this stitch a few months ago but this technique is so much better than the one I did. My brain is going crazy with what I could do. So thank you so much for showing a better way to do this stitch.
yes sometimes it's good to go back to basics to explain the issues I myself bumped in to when I began and wondered why my stuff didn't looks as good as in the book. Details. so important, I try to look at a lot of projects I do as if I do them for the very first time again and try and remember what my problems were when I first did them :-) I rather be accused of being long winded cause I hammer on some things 3 times than to casually mention it and people hardly hearing it :-)
Gianna, you are gracious to share your knowledge. I have seen you improve along the way. Just watching one of your first few videos and then the latest ones and you have excelled in teaching and in presentation. Thank you for sharing, it reveals what a kind person you are. Love your work.
Honestly Gianna I can do a fair bit of your projects.....BUT.....it's your personality that makes me want you to do vids like this rather than pic's. :-)
Gianna,,when I first started beading I just happened to come across one of the videos from your advanced channel,,and it was a bit difficult at first,,but I got it done,,Im getting pretty good now,,but I will admit,,I do love the videos that you are speaking in,,,,I think it is your voice,,I enjoy hearing you speak,,It feels like We are beading together I guess,,LOL...But either way I will continue to learn from you,,your the Best Kido!!

Marisol Catts the bicone in brick stitch is not a very new thing. It's been around a while. There are many things you can do with it, you can make a ring, I did earrings but you can also make a bracelet or necklace if you like. Also there is a difference in the way the Heart Beaded and me done it. She for instance put the bicone in last, I just put it in there along the way while beading . So the more different ways there are that it can be done the less problems people will have finding a video with at least one way that works best for them :-)
First off, YOU are the greatest, I love your tutorials and have learned a lot from you. My problem is that I am a total ditz where computers are concerned. You mention that your Etsy page information is under the video but on my screen there is NO information under the video accept your RU-vid channels and the comments. I would like to purchase the PDF's you mention but can't find them :-(.. Help Please :

like much of his work, but in this video images this blurred and his hand off the screen at crucial moments and does not give to see those important moments, such as the decrease in the middle to put the glass down so it want to ask you, you can post another video?
Thanks Gianna. I prefer videos to pics for EVERYTHING. But that's just me. In another video (simple embellished pearls) you discussed pricing and different versions of the earring. That was so helpful. When trying to gauge pricing, it varies so greatly. When you look on Etsy, the same (or similar) earrings range from maybe $10 - $50 - that's kinda crazy. For this earring, so labor intensive, yet "simple" and "sleek" what would you charge for something like this?
I think 10 is pretty fair. You have only 2 Swarovski's yes but you also have rings and earhooks and beads and fireline. I think that would alone be about 5 dollars in costs (don't forget when you buy anything online you also pay shipping) So that would give you about 5 dollars for your time and it each earring takes you 2.5 dollars you only charge a dollar per hour. They are too time consuming to make in bulk but one or two when you sell to have on a table (which would also give you costs there renting a table) would still be a good plan to show diversity :-)
What I don't understand is people are complaining about that they want to hear you and don't want to follow the pictures but this is what I don't understand, people buy PDF files and the PDF files have pictures and no one is complaining about that. So, I just don't get it. It really isn't hard to follow pictures.

Your intro was a turnoff. Why would you assume there should be more advanced than beginner beaders? I am a metalsmith who is interested in learning beading to incorporate it into my sterling pieces. However, I'll go elsewhere to learn. If you don't like to give instruction, don't create RU-vid videos. Slideshows are for PowerPoint.
