I really don’t care much for the crashes, I like the driving and the details about the vehicle, the occasional roll crash with the car gradually getting beat up is entertaining tho
This video was originally planned to come out before that video, but things got swapped around due to editing issues. The script made sense when I wrote it.
I managed to climb it with a stock beamng vehicle with some modifications to give it some more power. I won’t spoil what I did in case you wanna figure it out for yourself, but it’s very fun to do!
unsolve I did it! I posted the video too, I’ll tell you it took me about 20 tries haha I ended up having best luck with the “stock” ibishu hopper crawler. What did you end up using to climb it?
Crash Doctor TV yea I used that, just with an upgraded supercharger cause I found the torque wasn’t quite enough at some points, good to see someone who is actually good at crawling can do it “stock” haha
I've got an unpopular opinion: Grid, Small, Pure is the BEST map. It's very lightweight, takes seconds to load, and has infinite space for testing. When making mods/diagnosing problems with mods, make a change in Notepad, save, load up Grid Small, test. Who cares if there's nothing to crash with? It's not the purpose. Grid Small is a measuring tool, and testing apparatus. Not intended for general use in the first place.
Cliff is just so iconic because that was the very first map I ever played on when I downloaded BeamNG.drive back in 2013. It was also the very first map ever shown in a WhyBeAre BeamNG.drive video.
Press F8 for free cam, go to a free part like the middle of the road, press F7, then the damaged car will teleport there, instead of using the node grabber. This also changes the spawn though.
Everyone’s saying “you used the cliff map 2 days ago” just to let everyone know he was going to post this video before the throwback video but because of editing issues he posted the throwback first and this later he originally had the script make sense. Edit btw he said this in another comment
I like all official maps in BeamNG.drive, but I got disappointed when I found out that the old showroom (shown in various commercial-styled videos of BeamNG original vehicles in the BeamNG YT channel) got updated to this bland newer version. I mean its new form is 100% purposeful but official BeamNG devs could at least offer the choice between the ''physical'' showroom as we know it and the studio-experience showroom as it is now! Besides, in the old form, you could also place the car outside the showroom, to take pictures of it sunbathing (as shown in the official video for the SBR4)! I got the sim game about 2 years ago and hadn't used the Showroom until those ''old form'' shots got my attention a few months ago! Speaking of, after the sunbathing shots in the SBR4 video, there's also another room (with ''GripAll'' and automobile maker-branded banners on the walls and also red lights rotating) where the car is shown stripped down and this specific room was also used for showcasing the remastering of the D-Series, the Grand Marshal and, most recently, the Roamer and is still the same as it was back in 2015! Does anybody know where this room can be found? Seems 100% legit as an official map but I can't find it anywhere! Thank you in advance! :-D Here are the videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ns3E46QkHJg.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-an0lfIgxl6o.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kjum5gmEz8Y.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nD8uzX2GlTE.html
that dealership map was never officially released, nor was the industrial looking tunnel map. though the dealership building object was in the game files at some point, so multiple people have ported it into their maps and textured it.
Hey i had a idea for u its ok if u dont but for a 2020 special for EVERY CRASH in all the games u played from ur first vid to ue latest and if it takes time i get it but it will be cool and all or most of ur viewers would like it
This goes for every map and everything to be honest. If you go into the free-roam camera using Shift-C and then fly somewhere and teleport your car (close to the ground) with F7, then there is no damage to the car or risk of damage unlike if you were using the node-grabber.
IIRC you made videos in the past where you drove both up and down the Cliff map without destroying the vehicle. You also made videos driving up and down the trail on Leap of Death. Would be worth revising since a ton of new off-roaders have been added to the base game since you made those videos.
Tbh, I had originally subscribed off of... I think one of the Death Stairs video? But more recently, I've really enjoyed videos with cleaner, satisfying driving.
Me and my friends play a game on cliff where someone is using node grabber and the other one has a controller. The player controlling the car has to make sure they don’t reach the water and the node grabber tries to get the car into the water. We have to put the node grabber strength way down tho
I've actually never bothered to check out Showroom or template_map in my 400 hours of playing this game. Also, they're remastering Jungle Rock Island, so you're in luck with that one.
You can just use Shift+C and go over to the road and press f7, this will spawn it on the road with all the damage still present and no additional damage from node-grabbing
Based on the sbr4 damage and other cars with roll cages, I feel like the roll cage is mode of like tungsten carbide or something cause it took leap of death to even dent the roof
In terms of cliff I found a great use for it I take my automation offroad cars there to test if I cant get from the beach to the top in one piece then i need to alter something on it. It's very difficult getting to the top but it is possible
I actually wouldn't mind a video about how cars handle in this game. I don't care much for the crashing but you need to please the majority to stay afloat
grid map pure is acually VERY VERY large i once left the game runing for several hours (about 4) and i clocked 338 mph and went a distance of 1300 miles and yeah if you spawn in the midle of the map like i assume thats atleast probably 2k out either side
I do agree with Map #5 to the point that you do need to drive very carefully as going off road = you being buggered. But...I love any map with a Jungle/Tropical Theme with beach, river & ocean. I live in CANADA in the rust belt. We have four seasons up here. I only LOVE SUMMER & FLORIDA! So...any Jungle/Tropical Map is awesome! Like the 2 for Jurrasic Park! :-D
@@deltav9784 I'm pretty sure his selection is because he reviews them so that's kind of a factor he needs to show off easier without getting stuck or roll for too long.
I also don't care about crashes. when I play, I like to drive around and tune cars etc. whenever I crash, I might get a tow truck and get the crashed car on it and take kt somewhere to be "repaired".
