After the up you now have to do some other stuffs to get it working. I do have other videos for you to try if you can not get this one to work. @@smahofpv6716 yea but you would need a bad ass pc to handle it. if you look in the top left in editor you will see some export options. you may have to do it is bits.
looked at the more popular tutorials and i for the life of my couldnt figure out how to get my map to show up, but all i had to do was press auxiliary debug content, life saver bro
haha I was the same at the start, watch my new video that says change your map picture. in that video I also show how to make the map show up on the right menu
i seen a old tutorial somewhere with renaming things in files. i was ready to make a bunch of tools to make mapping easier. glad to know its just this easy. now the hard part... designing..
it is this easy to get start but you will be limited still and will have to do the coding later but don't be scared it is really easy to do. you only replace names.
I think I had that bug before, not sure what I did to fix it... him yes I do!! some where in the settings you can reset the windows and bits. maybe in the tabs in the top right. but it will make it show again I believe
After watching this video, I’m able to « make my map » but I do not have any decals to paint my road and when I try to take the one from « Utah » in me files, I can’t find my map in ->Content->levels… so I’m stuck on trying to find out to get decals, and how will I be able to import my map to share it eventually. I’m trying to start working on the small island map since I’m new to map working. Before watching this series I started just laying down some road and I saved it. So now the small island map has that whenever I spawn into it by default and I followed the other video in this series on how to get assets from other levels into the level your working on but small island is zipped so I followed this thinking it would make it so I can copy this map but when I click open it puts me in the template map instead of copying it, how do I fix this or how do I copy the level to put west coast assets in?
I do have more videos that will help I think. find the longer video on how to make you own map with the temple one not the template tech one. you will have to change some code but it isn't hard you are basic just changing the names of some things. then you will have a new map that you can call yours,. from there I would watch the tarrain video to learn how to make your own sized floor to work with. and then from there I would watch the asset one, and then from there I would watch the road one that people love so much. top tip start small
i followed your steps very carefully but when selecting the decal road editor tool, im holding alt and nothing is happening, but i also noticed you have a main folder and i only have art & import do you know how i could fix this, thanks
so the map works but not the decal road tool? I will try again soon and see if it still works I made a new map but can't remember if I did it that way or not
@@manicgamingguy6161 yeah im going into editor with f11, new level then opening it up, back into editor and press decal road editor, it lights up orange but when i hold alt i dont get a white sphere like you do and if i click and drag nothing happens, i also tried restarting beamng and retrying the whole process
@@ourkid7153 that is not good. maybe it has been change after the update but that is really upsetting. I am going to make a uk template map at some point hopefully that will save this head pain

D you need to be shown how to do it a different way? I think I have about 3 videos possible. oh one of them is now also old though and I need to change the tile lol thanks beam
I think it is 4K but then you should be able to have more then one, people have been mashing up maps together, so must be possible to have more then one terrain.
Largest map to date is 274000 square km, but i don't think it works properly because of BNG limitations. There are nice maps with 8x8 size though, like River Highway, that should work and not blow your PC up.
hello mate. If you look on my play list I have a 2nd video that shows you a different way off getting to this step and you end up with more trees and stuff
maybe make the file in explorer? also make sure you are making it in your own map folder,. also there is too "level" folders. on in the main beamng folder and one in beamng mod folder. hope some of that helps you
Hello, sorry for the delay. I had to move all my set up inside the house as I made some improvements to my studio. I am back on now and will start a new tutorial soon. is there any thing you got in mind that you would like to see. next step is to ideally change the size of the map and make it flat for a fresh start or keep the island and start adding our own roads and props
@@manicgamingguy6161 I'm having the same issue here, infinite loading screen after I try opening the new level folder. Deactivated all my mods and still didn't fix anything
@@stephenmikell2057 try restarting the game if that don't work maybe a step went wrong but can't see why. Maybe I will try again soon, there has been a update so could of changed
it is some what broken. I am working on making a new template pack for people to use. hold in there my friend. it is still possible but some steps have changed
