BeamNG v0.33 DELAYED - What Happened? 

Honestly, I don't care about it being delayed. Compared to other games the update schedule is insane, and so we should've expected this at some point. Big ups to the devs for being able to update so frequently anyways!

I can't complain, the updates are free for an already cheap game. This delay makes me think that 0.33 will bring either a lot of new content or something very major or technical which is not easy to implement. Maybe we will get the european semi truck which was found it the game files or maybe it will be something more gameplay related like rain or scratches. The devs should take as much time as they think is necessary to deliver what they want to deliver.

0.32 Was only just over 2 months ago and I wasn't really expecting an update any time soon. I reckon the big update they're talking about will be some kind of engine upgrade to improve performance and future-proof BeamNG. The game engine is exceptionally old now and I think BeamNG is the only game in active development to use it.

BeamNG devs are apologizing even before we got any progress or teasers. They’re just amazing devs, and I really don’t mind if a FREE update is delayed. Keep this insane work up devs!! ❤

that makes me think that most 0.3x updates after 33 might have huge updates to the core of the game maybe even an actually fast ui and proper particles system,which would be amazing

What I really hope for is a particle and backfire engine rework. We need not just the backfire we have now, but also longer lasting flame-ish backfire for more realism

I completely understood on the delay as well! I probably guess that what 0.33 would bring might be tough to get right. I'm fine with the wait 👌

They should really take their sweet time and work this out properly. BeamNG is about the only game i´ve ever played which has such good and transparent developers who never cease to amaze me with their updates so im more than good with waiting for updates since the game right now is in a really good state aswell.

I guess the 0.32 have bring motivations of them down *cus the 0.32 taking month* so i think that’s why 0.33 delayed but still love how the game improved for over 12 years of development the game with Torque3D engine

The fact that I’ve never got bored when playing BeamNG tells a lot of how good these devs are

Honestly, if this means that we are getting a bugfix and small-feature update, I'm all in. I don't want any big changes, like new cars or maps, mod support exists for that. I really want like a "Big Small update", if you know what I'm talking about. The beauty of this game is in details, and I want to see more of them, like cars having fuel caps, license plate frames with different skins (ETK, Hirochi, BeamNG, Stripes, Colorable), all cars having basic skins (side stripes, hood stripes, roof stripes etc.), career mode cars having randomized fuel level when you buy them, you name it. Stuff that makes the game feel more lifelike.

If I were to guess on what's to come... Maybe some minor update for career mode, new events (maybe) and one or two new configs for existing cars... Oh yeah, and bugfixes... If I'm being honest, if that's the case then it should've been called 0.32.1, I mean in 0.24.1 we got remastered Bolide and the Bastion, if the update is going to be called 0.33 I think it's going to be bigger than the 0.24.1... Maybe the devs tries to avoid all the hype by saying to not hoping much and it won't be a big update, so they'll work in slower pace and less strain, who knows...

Honestly, I'd say this is pretty good news because of different features that will be added in the future. Like airbags or better scratches. Now I think there's something that the devs should definitely tackle and that's the fact that the cars in game feel too fragile. I know this is a simulator but if I get lightly rear ended by another car don't make it so there's tons of damage. Make the cars a bit more durable please devs.

It is ok with update delayed if that makes it better, and I assume it takes time because the easiest problems can sometimes be the hardest :) Hope they are fixing this keyboard mapping issue that has been around for long time.

I wonder if a feature they're working on is scratches on the body. Which would definitely be a hard feature to implement in a realistic fashion, and such a feature is suggested from the decal editor in the garage

Finaly a good upcoming update, in my opinion the “foundation” of a game is more important than the content, it makes the game feel better, also probably with this update they will be able to add good features like tire thermals and deformable terrain.

I don’t know what have happened, when I open BeamNG Drive 0.32, its black. I only see the tail lights of vehicles, glass. what can i do

Im fine if they take some time for the next update i just hope we get more modern vehicles including more Evs and hopefully multiplayer in the far future

The only thing we need is an extremely large dev created map. And maybe a modern SUV and Pickup Truck. Might as well a new semi truck which is made by a rival company of Gavril.

I think the game at this point is in good shape that they should bring the content (remasters cough cough) and game engine to a point to build on to add new features

Honestly I don't care, if this update is gonna bring major improvements to the vulkan API, optimizations, or even better VR support, i'll be happy. We all know what makes a great game is for it to obviously be more playable, so even if they dont release any cars or anything I'd be happy with an update to any if not all the things I mentioned above. Also AI improvement and career improvements as well, hopefully graphical improvements to.

I hope they add like airbags, car alarms and explosive tankers😂

To be honest, this is kind of update i wanted to expect from the developers, on what's going on. Not meeting those deadlines they set a date to like other games.

I am not even mad. The game is entertaining enough as it is. Honestly this is one of the very few games out there that is not rushed, is consistently better than the last update and is fun. Gg to the CEO and devs, they're all doing a fantastic job!

I would like a better took to set AI traffic. Having simplified models of Buses Trucks Trailers and all kinds of interesting vehicles. And each map would have its own Specific vehicles spawntable. East Coast: would have D series trucks, buses D series vans, Legran and other American cars that fit that map by default but it would be customisable. West Coast US would have Trucks with trailers on the Highway as traffic spawning would have zones and Taxis and buses in the city Belasco PD police cruisers same way as in East Coast USS you would see Fleetwood police cars. Utah would get the same treatment just with Sheriff. Italy would be the place where Autobello, Cintella, ETK and Charier cars would be common. But as everything it would be customisable. Each map would feel different because of the different traffic and vehicles they can offer.

tbh i was thinking they were working on something huge, like a map rework or something, maybe an expansion to the Trucking series for more semi trucks instead of just the T-series (tbh that would be nice, a modern style semi in beamNG)

I think the developers can make improvements in terms of the interior of the car, as they did with the ibishu 200bx.

as far as im concerned they finished the game like 6 years ago. anything we get after that is a bonus

What needs to be absolutely done is mod support: Having few repository mods it’s fine but for the ones (like me) that have lot of mods the game is extremely fragile: continuous crashes, instability, no textures, broken mods ecc ecc. Assetto Corsa with more than 1500 mods works flawlessly Also Beamng needs optimisation…the good one. It’s not possible that having so many mods is slowing the game down that much, making it lag and all of that. I am growing a youtube channel with this game and with all the mods i have but it’s very difficult cause of the game’s instability. I can’t only insert the mod i will use one by one cause some are UI apps, and others needs other mods to work togheter. Also my RTX 3070TI for some reason seems to hate the game

I was hyped for new content but better foundation is 110% better and if the backend is not done properly it could affect future update and or future additional content so i'm all in for the extra wait time , it's not like beamng got any rival anyway

Only thing I have to say about is that it’s okay, take your time devs! This game is just so amazing, there’s always something new to do, and the driving is addictive with a wheel. I got so disappointed in the past few years with AAA titles that cost $100 and are unfinished. Quality over quantity.

I don't mind if updates are delayed. The devs have been hard at work all these years and they definitely deserve a break, despite that they still deliver good stuff and within a good margin of their schedule which earns my respect as someone who has been playing this since 2016.

Honestly, they've been working too hard. What they need now is a standing ovation, a few pats on the back and maybe a few months of rest!

Honestly, this delay is nothing. Don't forget, beamng is already 10 years old and for a big game that's this old still receiving updates at this rate is actually already very fast compared to other games. 0.32 isn't old either it's a pretty new update so yea devs take your time man chillax

Beamng really should at some point add rainfx like Assetto corsa. Just imagine beamng with them.

Well I’m ok with them delaying it but can they at least add a hot fix for the 200 bx that adds the neons back 😢 I miss them

can some1 help me? my saturation in beamng is very high for some reason. i reinstalled it but again. idk why is it like this. when i am going to ui apps settings my saturation is turning very high and id how to fix this
