This is back when you all your potnas used to gather around the car stereo to hear what these rappers had to say.....early 00's were the end of the golden era looking back on it....and I swear I took it for granted how good Hip-Hop was around 01-04.
Not even half as creative as what Dot did on euphoria, 616 in LA and Meet the Grahams. Beans was spittin but Kendrick was on some cerebral villain shit.
To this day I still think this is one of the best diss records ever made. Not only were the bars solid but he killed him on his own beat. Never heard anyone get murdered that hard.
@@dragonknightofamiraka3636 you know why Ether is the superior record and everyone has ranked it so because it is the only diss record that stays focused on the person from start to finish with facts you can go back to. Beanie record was fire no doubt but after the first minute most of it was just talking hot shot nothing really actually about jada
This freestyle solidify Beans place is rap. He had everything but a meaningful battle at this time and Jadakiss is and was one of the most respected at this time, and Beans took him in to the yard and spanked his like he was his granddaddy..🤣 what a time to be alive!
Here 2023 😤 NYC TO PHILLY we held each other down damn near like we was the same state at this moment in time mind u I was still a lil ass kid listening to this 😂
I'm so mad Beanie didn't reach his full potential. This man has so many classics. He was actually a good rapper. His voice, the passion and the how he executed the end of each verse. He was so convincing and he made you feel what he was saying. Peedi and Beanie was my favorites from State Property.
+Trey winn7n well i heard that story and I remember Sauce Money sayin the guns came out but we need that footage. i bet that was a crazy battle, Jay with the wordplay and sleek raps and X had the aggressive energy and high energy. that would've been the place to be
Joseph King2 yooo lol. I remember what happened after X and Kiss dropped "Uh Huh" on the radio. That shit came on one of the stations in Philly. No bs Beans called right after they played it snapping on the radio host. I was in tears lol so I can only imagine how he was when Kiss started turning up on him
“I’ma bout to son Kiss like a soda” - I mourn and always keep the lyrical golden age of rap in memory. Was blessed to be in my high school & college years at the time late 90’s into late 2000 decade. Music in those formative years never leave you, and lucky for me that mine fell during hip hop’s finest years
now this was a real diss record.. had to come back and listen to this after this tofu rap beef Meek vs Drake vs Safaree vs Joe Budden... yall need to listen to this for some motivation.
Exactly! Lol! I came here for the same reason! Meek and Drake beef is kinda lame, Meek should be bodying dude but instead he letting Drake drop these R&B diss songs! Lol I can't believe he letting this play out like thus, especially when he comes from the battle! Crazy! He need to listen to Ether or Hit em up for some motivation! Wow!
It was over before it started... Soon as he said "Nigga dig this, I'm bout to Sun-Kist like a soda". I knew it was about to be a legendary diss. 10 years later it STILL hits hard.
Put his lips on the nine and tell him to really kiss the game goodbye. Damn. I like Kiss but damn ... I miss Hip Hop like this some real shit right here.
One the most legendary and roughest disses of all times. I don't know how beans kept snapping back to back with no signs of drawing back. THIS IS HIP HOP! !!!
@Mr. D Brown lol damn why u gotta say Chicago lol, we been in this shit, u must ain’t know Kanye was the producer on hella New York artists shit in the early 2000’s, now would we be wrong to say the whole jay z blueprint the Chicago sound lol
Jada kiss has always been my favorite rapper ...when I heard this back in 2001 ,this shit had me feeling some type of way like beans bodied my boy kiss ..!!
