Great breakdown!! A few things overlooked though. “My pump make you lift up. Tec make you do a 360. Got gats that the government got.” That was a direct play on Jadakiss’ “My bathtub lift up, my walls do 360. We got the shit that the government got” line from WE GONE MAKE IT. And the “Now look what you made me do” line comes verbatim from Biggie, which is a jab at Jadakiss since Biggie was his idol. Other than that, you guys were on point. Beans won that battle IMO. And Jada is a legend and was feared by many lyrically at the time. Beanie Sigel is top 3 all time lyricist to me though and in my personal top 3 favorite MCs along with Juelz and Wayne.

Not a huge hip hop/rap guy, but I watch these because you two make it super entertaining. Also it's really cool to hear some of the break down of lyrics and stories of the beef between the artists

I'm from Philly I remember when Beans first diss Kiss it was summer time , I was in middle school during that time. My cousins and I went crazy when we first heard the diss we all was like Beans killed Kiss. We played that song all day all the time . I remember one of my cousin had a mix tape cd with Kiss diss Beans back we all stop everything so we can hear Kiss response. We heard the response it was about 8 or 9 of us all around the same age maybe a couple years difference everyone but 1 of us felt Beans killed Kiss. I always had Beans killing Kiss until about a year ago when I decided to hear the Beans diss then I listen to the Kiss diss I had a change of mind and feel it is a debatable battle and who you prefer cause they both went in far as lyrics and bars.... I also remember during the time when when both disses came out 2 or 3 old heads was discussing who won the battle . I remember one of the guys was like he had Kiss winning because kiss was smooth on a disco beat and the other guy was like he had Beans cause he was straight grimy and hood on his diss. During that time I also remember my cousin tell us And 1 the basketball team was in Philly he went to the game and the beat came on . It was some New York guys was at the game so when the beat first comes on at the game the New York guy thought they was playing Kiss song coming on until they heard Beans diss came on and New York and Philly guys start fighting. I know in Philly most of everyone was playing that diss and Philly took that diss seriously.

Sigel won imo. This was the best hip hop battle on wax. Jadakiss had just dropped Kiss Tha Game Goodbye at this time and Kiss was considered the best mc in Hip Hop back in 2001. I'm a big Kiss fan btw, and he's still my favorite mc as of today. I thought Kiss was gonna slay Sigel. Boy was I wrong. Kiss cameback hard on the disco beat but it wasn't enough. Sigel is a good bar mc and he was also a very underrated battle mc because no one expected him to come at Jada as hard as he did.

Fun Fact: Beanie Sigels line about Canibus made him mad and he dropped a joint called "Who Owns You" ripping him apart. Beanie never responded though.

Beans used that Biggie flow and lines on the Marine blue part. And the funny part about Jada sayin his next rhyme should be on a Sisqo beat, Beans was actually on Sisqo’s album 😂

This battle is a classic you got Jada who is lethal with those punchlines and has experience under his belt vs Beanie who's heavily underrated because he has songs in his catalog that just has lyricism of high quality. This was a pretty hard judge but I remember I had Jada with the W before and I still stick with it but it was a close match and I thought Jada hit him with more impact with the end of the punch and I see how it can hurt Beanie compared to Jada who already gained recognition while Beanie is still like a underdog. But that was legendary battle CLASSIC. I Love this series Good shit Lost In Vegas !!!.

Great Breakdown my Brothers. Love this time in history. Love Dope Diss Tracks all day, I was big into the diss tracks back in the day, I would make lots of tapes. Most of the time that's where you would see some of their best bars. Kids are lucky, they can watch the Beef series now days, we have to live it or hear it first hand. Both went hard.. but there was an ease in kiss' effort to deliver as much disrespect as he could in such a short period of time, which makes him the smarter and more efficient opponent. Where Beanie came up short is that he came out of no where, And he rapped like he had everything to prove, he did it creatively with the kids playground scenario, which was imaginitive, and great creativity and artistry. But again, I give it to kiss because he delivered it with ease and soul wrenching disrespect. Goodness.. oh and don't forget to do CANIBUS Vs. LL
