You should eat beans, test your blood sugar, and then two hours later eat beans again. The beans from the previous meal will buffer the blood sugar spikes of the next meal.
@@mygolfballsannoy The fire is inside the body and it called inflammation. The longest living people have the lowest levels. Beans are the common food amongst centenarians.
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and I change my diet and I eat a starchy diet called the rice diet, with beans, potatoes, corn, fruits and leafy green vegetables and now my A1C went from a 6.4 to a 5 less than 3 weeks How do you explain that Your blood sugar goes up but it will come back down, And when I check my blood glucose the next day I test between 88 and 95, This diet came through Dr Kempner research which he started in 1939 call the rice diet, I'm in the best health of my life I did the keto and I was starving myself also hurting myself by eating mounds of fat, I had heart palpitations high blood pressure, but with the rice diet I eat 350gm of rice twice a day fruits and vegetables My blood pressure is 112/72 My A1C is 5 if anyone reads this and have diabetes check out Dr Kempner, Dr McDougall and several other doctors that study this from 1939 to today. Oh P.S I'm on no medications and have an abundance of energy...
Yes, it's so confusing. I'm in a non surgical barbaric program and they have me eating 0 carbs the first 2 weeks, but then only allow 1, ONE serving of a carb for the entire day after that. No fruits or potatoes whatsoever, only a small serving of legumes, carrots, or other starchy veggies. It's just a meat and greens diet & im about fed up with it. I only lost water weight and no fat burn is happening. I said screw it one day and had 2 oranges because I'm missing fiber & fruit legumes the things I used to love eating...though my sweet tooth and processed food made me fat, not plant foods. But ate 2 oranges one time, and the rebound weight gain! I gained 3lbs overnight from 2 oranges because my body started holding onto water 😢. & my fasting glucose was worse and more exaggerated than normal when I used to eat more plant foods and fiber. The fats make insulin resistance worse in the presence of carbs, and you cant avoid carbs forever. I wanted to add more fiber in, and they said absolutely not, only meat & greens. 😞
@@HoneeyBee3keep working at it.. find what works for you.. let the bg meter be your guide.. carbs are not essential.. you can live fine with no carbs. Its hard for many of us.. If you are diabetic( broken) then its not easy.. just do what is best for you.. veggie/wfpb/keto/ carnivore or a combo somewhere in the middle👍🏿
Sweet potato numbers blew me away. I was so confident that by eating purple sweet potatoes, being a low glycemic index food, that it wouldn't Spike like that. I need one of those sensors. I would totally geek out on that
You wouldn't be able to eat a ton of beans because it's filling. All food spikes blood sugar, and yes, the fiber slows it, especially over time, because the healthier foods you should be eating do that. It should be seen from the perspective that all foods are going to result in a blood sugar spike.
I find beans to be very effective for losing weight. Beans are a super food. I tried a slow carb routine which is low carb but you eat two to three servings of beans. The fiber helps keep you full and keeps your digestive system working properly.
At this point EVERY single food spikes bloor glucose even the healthy ones…so screw it! I will eat whatever makes me feel happy in this short life we live and whatever happens happens

Your interpretation to eat beans in moderation is nonsense. This and your normal response is yours alone and why others should not rely on your responses for any reason.
