As it was still early I dragged him behind my stand and field dressed both to cool them. I looked up and another doe came out and she joined the other two deer. Amazing hunt and one I will never forget. I dedicate this story to you Bruce for helping me remember all the details that followed. Thanks bud.

That's only during hibernation and the heartbeat only drops to about 4bpm(15 seconds between beats). During a flight like this its heart rate will be elevated to 100bpm or over. But unless you shoot it directly in the spine or heart. It will indeed keep charging.

Listen...I've been hunting for 45 years, I was raised in a family who hunts. We are grateful that we can put food on our tables, and we do it EVERY YEAR... pheasant, deer, ducks...till this day I don't watch hunting videos that involve kill shots. Imo HUNTING is something that needs to be EXPERIENCED... It's not something to be exploited on film. Not everything needs to be videoed...who wants to see a video of their parents CREATING them????? NOBODY.
