Good stuff Brother😉👍 ... That's all I shoot with my 6.5 Grendel is 123gr ELD Match reloads using 18in Ballistic Advantage Premium Series Barrel and getting .625 moa @ 100yds
Yep! Seems to be the sweet spot for all grendel barrels, Jerr. My first 6.5G was a 20” BA barrel, and I wound up trading it off. (Too long for my use) My buddy has it and it’s taken down lots of game. I simply love this caliber!
I'm not into reloading yet but got all excited by all that brass laying around lol. I always pick it up even if it's not anything I run lol. Those were all pretty good groups, certainly enough to get the job done at 100 yards. I'm still thinking of possibly going 6.5 grendel for my next build
Thx Ron. They’re prob just me more than anything else. Couldn’t get completely settled down behind the gun. What I forgot to say was that the Wolf 100gr actually tightened up to about 2” at 200 yards
Fliers happen. I’ve got a bear creek 7.62x39 upper that shoots 3/4” groups all day with crap tula ammo but 1 in 20 is a couple inches out. Still cheap fun
Just for testing purposes-shoot one allowing the bcg to operate-remove the chambered round-measure it for bullet creep-shoot another and repeat-without cannelures-heavy buffers can kill AR accuracy
@@Warthog71 get your mean overall length Shoot Eject and measure a chambered one Repeat and see how far the round deviates The AR platform is rather violent on slamming smooth bullets loose and allowing them to creep forward A cannelure and crimp helps but robs BC and Lord knows long range is impossible without a BC higher than .45 Lol 😂
I have found with my 16" BCA barrel that I get 1" groups with Hornady black 123 gr and everything else I have tried is worse than that. Wolf is lie 3 or 4 inches, PPU is about 2 inches, Hornady American gunner ammo 123 gr about 1.5 inches.
At the time of this video BCA only made one barrel type in 16”. Heavy Barrel Twist 1:8 Finish Parkerized 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Thread Pitch 5/8 x 24 6.5 Grendel Type II M4 Feed Ramp Carbine 0.750 Gas Block System 0.070 Gas Hole Diameter Charlie Mike🇺🇸
Yep heavy profile. Carbine gas block The stainless 18” has a mid length. I used to have that. Good shooter but heavy AF. The 16” carbine gas system has a strong recoil impulse. Big diff than a 556 upper but less than a 308
@@Warthog71 I bought a 16 inch 6.5 Grendel barrel, M4 profile, fluted, carbine length gas as well, from classicfirearm long time ago and I found out the barrel was originally made by BCA. BCA made M4 profile 6.5 Grendel barrels aren’t accurate according to some accuracy tests I have seen. I have never shot 100 yards group with my 6.5 barrel. However, ur BCA 6.5 had decent accuracy. Pretty impressive! Hope u cover more AR stuff.
