best part about druid is that it can swap to dps easily and windfury lol. the bear/cat and the boomkin/resto playstyles are the first time ive actually felt like a hybrid in WoW
I agree the rage regeneration is horrible , i hoped to ha e a rune that boost rage so we can use our abilities. Plus take few sec to swing get that rage😮
druid tank i think is suffering in aoe threat generation but it might be for every tank probably, specifically because all the runes have really messed up threat generation because of the amount of damage and threat classes generate at such an early level and also because it's classic and aoe threat is kinda not a thing and tanks are really bad at it in classic in general. if you're running tank in dungeons as bear i'd recommend taking mangle over lacerate as it's a higher amount of instant damage and therefore higher amount of instant threat and really you can't really aoe threat pull that well, swipe just doesn't cut it if a dps insists on dps'ing a mob you're not focusing and takes aggro and if it's 3 people who do it to each mob, you cannot gain enough threat with swipe to get them, you have to basically choose one or else you risk losing threat on all of the mobs and when that happens the healer is gonna get threat by all mobs because they are frantically healing losing all their mana generating a ridiculous amount of threat in the process making all the mobs target them. lacerate is decent enough as a single target threat generator but if you start spamming it on every mob thinking it will generate enough threat on an aoe pull you're just wrong. lacerate i would say is really best reserved for main tanking raids or very big bosses that takes some time to kill or else it's practically a waste to use. how you should tank in this case in dungeons is many quick small pulls in succession, never a big aoe pull and always try to come out of each pull with more rage than the last. how you initiate pulls is you hopefully get enough rage to do one swipe and then you focus one mob, if you lose threat on any of the others you growl, if you lose threat on a different one well you can try a mangle to get it back but it's risky and probably won't work. so try to pull 3 at a time but practically chain the pulls one after the other, it's the fastest and safest way you can do it i think without risking of wiping because people aren't targeting the mob you are. as for runes, i don't think survival of the fittest is necessary in dungeons and so wildstrike is just better, it helps you with threat and you and your group kills mobs quicker meaning less heals, so basically if you're not main tanking a raid, go for wildstrike i think.
