Aw, Ms. Luca the etiquette queen, always making sure Mr. Conley's OK with her stepping onto the porch before she climbs up; just barging in there unacknowledged/uninvited would be a *huge* faux pas! Lol. Also she seems to enjoy chillin' on that step almost as much as she does snacking on that birdseed. Both of the gals that stopped by today were truly in their Sunday's best, looking gorg for this year's Father's Day's visit.💖

I have been missing these posts and so grateful to get 2 in one day.!! Thank you Mr Conley.Two bears have crossed my path this past week. Of course I have to think of you right away!. One was trying to cross a fairly busy road and I stopped to let him/her pass. I swear that bear turned and said thank you once she was on the other side of the road. So I yelled our welcome and blew a kiss and sadly we both went on our way.

Luca’s charm and gentle nature are so precious. She waits on the warm stone for you to come onto the porch before she enters. Just wow! The other thing I’ve noticed is that Bella is often unaware when Luca is around. Today was briefly interrupted but then Bella got quiet again. Astounding. Simone just ignores Bella which is fine. But her daughter doesn’t even seem to rouse the watchdog. I was rather expecting to see the birds dive bomb Luca because she stole their food again. Lol lovely as always Patrick. Saw the post yesterday but had no time to enjoy it until this morning. Never disappointed 😊
I thought "I'm not watching 18 minutes of a bear just eating seeds and licking the floor" but I watched the whole thing, it actually flew by 😳 It's very relaxing to watch (hearing the birds adds a plus)!! 😀

@PatrickConley You could put some berries in there for both the birds & the bears. Or plant some blackberry bushes. That way, they also have something in case the bird seed is gone.

It’s amazing that the bear in this video is the same ridiculously adorable cub who Simone brought with her to Patrick’s porch two years ago. Luca is looking healthy and rubenesque. It’s also nice to see Luca so relaxed out on the walkway. It’s fun to see her resting on her elbow, which makes her look deep in thought.
Thank you for bringing the bears into our lives. They are so beautiful. I awoke to a black bear outside my bedroom window one night. To see his face just inches from mine was such a gift. (I am on the coast of Oregon). On a trip into the Canadian Rockies in May, I again looked into the eyes of a massive black bear that that was just yards away. Their beauty is astounding and their personalities are irresistible.
What is so beautiful about this is that she is so comfortable and safe around the premises of patrik's porch. Its like second home. Such a magnificent experience to behold.
