Bear Ruby - Lovable Goofball 

Seems like Simone and the cubs are busy elsewhere, so it is really nice of the bear community that they have sent Ruby instead. Public relations are important, also in the bear world, it seems. Cheers from Denmark!

My cats turn and look at me like that if they discover an empty food bowl - it is a look of disbelief that they have been forgotten!

Ruby looks for the bird feeder, then looks back at you several times. Like my wife does when I don't bring home her favorite ice cream. "Are you getting the hints here?? Why is it not there? "

Ruby says im just gonna sit here n wait till you put snacks up....the birds told me they are getting snacks😃

Poor Ruby, she even went on porch patrol to make sure she hadn't missed any seeds, but to no avail. When that didn't work, she looked up with pleading eyes: "Hey, your girl's trying to fatten up for winter - a little help here? Oh well, never mind."

Ruby seems like a truly peaceful soul. She just walks around, smelling and sniffing and relaxing. A bear's life.

Uncle Pat, I live near a park and woods that has deer, coyotes, rabbits, eagles, possums, turtles, etc. Your kindness in providing water for your wildlife inspired me to go to the park edge to the woods 2x a day and filll big saucers (the kind that go under planters) I bought with fresh water. ❤

Omg...Ruby has such character!! She looks for the snack tray,then she looks at you Patrick, several times !!! Just like are you kidding me? No snacks ?? LOL....she seems like she won't give up!! The way she hangs around your porch is so sweet.....i would have loved to see that bath in the creek, i bet the noises were very interesting?? !! ...i am still hoping Simone and cubs are ok ??..❤❤

Look at Ruby looking up at you, so precious 🥰. She’s wondering where the seeds are at. She didn’t even stay to eat the bugs 🙁. I think this is the first time I’ve seen her go in through the gate. I guess she knew there were no seeds but wanted to see her favorite person. She’s a really beautiful young bear. Always happy to see her. I’m glad she’s coming around since Simone hasn’t. I miss Simone and her kids 😢

You know what amazes me about Ruby. She's obviously a very well-proportioned bear and she has this combination of beauty and strength. She's definitely a glamourpuss but when you look at her forearms and her paws you got to respect her as a substantially powerful creature. She has her code of conduct too- she has appropriate platitudes of reasonable behavior. Oh every now and then she gets a little surly- but she's still graceful, strong and beautiful. You can't help grow fond of her and appreciate her. Beauty and adventure- that's always been an attractive combination. Thanks Patrick you have excellent taste in bears

I’m guessing the neighbors or Patrick’s family aren’t too thrilled by the frequent appearance of bears on the lawn, behind the shrubs, on the porch, or leaning on the glass front door observing meals, especially when the bears sometimes get a bit huffy. No birdseed, eventually no bears. Supposedly.

I miss Simone and the cubs, but it looks like the porch is Ruby's territory now. On the bright side hopefully Ruby will have some cubs to bring next year.

She comes by wishing, and hoping, for the seed. As the lady, in the background asked, "Why don't you give them anything to eat, anymore? " I ask the same. I noticed in the last few videos, that Ruby was down there digging, for grubs, and eating certain plants. There appeared to be seed on the ground... Maybe? Many people are not aware, that many plants, that appear to be weeds, are, actually, medicinal. Maybe Ruby realizes what good qualities they have, therefore, eats them, when her desserts are not available, at Patrick's house? Patrick, have you seen Simone, and her cubs? Have you heard any scuttlebutt about them?

Soon Ruby will be a senior, and will demand a lift chair to the birdseed😂

If that bear hibernates she might like to look under your deck...,😁

I love watching the bears on this channel. We don’t have bears where I live, but they’re up north, but it’s rare to see them. This is the closest I get to see bears up close, except when we go to the zoo. This channel is great, just watching them. Thanks Patrick.

Ruby sure is a persistent goof ball! Notice how she checks for the bird feeder and if it's not there she just comes up the stairs now no gymnastics. Love the look she gave you after checking everywhere & couldn't find a morsel of anything. Looked like she wanted to say "Well where the heck is the pulled pork, baked beans, cornbread and grits Patrick?" Just like you said in the description. Gotta LOVE RUBY!
