Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge Late Summer 

Northern Utah shares it's space with the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. We spent about 3 hours here and decided we'd come back at different times of the year and at different times of the day to see the diversity of birds using this area as a stop over. No crowds when we were there, the weather was great for us and the birds didn't disappoint. We aren't professional photographers, so taking photos of birds with just our phones didn't always give the best pictures, but hopefully gives an idea of some of what we saw. We would like to come back and plan to stop, pull over, and just sit and watch as the action went on around us. We saw many varieties of bird, most we had no clue what they were. Perhaps that's an indication of our age that we are now bird watching! lol The facility was free to visit. Kids would enjoy the visitor center and play center and the short walk. The auto drive would be a bit much for small children. Don't forget sunscreen and mosquito repellant!
