Be sure to check the weight difference on the latest version of the LWCG 1.0. It’s a great stand but I’m pretty sure it’s significantly heavier than the Beast stand.
Have you tried the .75 or 1.0? The .5 and beast comparison isn't the best comparison because the dimensions are so different. Love your thoughts on .75 or 1.0 compared to the beast
My only concern with the LWCG .5 is how tiny it would seem wearing heavy cold weather gear. Late falls in WI get pretty cold. The Beast would make it easier to accomodate heavy clothing.
Yes. In late season when we are wearing bunny boots it feels small. You just have to away have your feet in the right position so you don’t have to move much when a deer is coming.
Kind of hard thing to compare, the reason the lone wolf .5 is smaller, is because it weighs less. It also holds more weight (up to 300lbs) the beast stand (275lbs) the beast stand actually falls in between the .5 and the 1.0 on weight. Also it’s 150$ more than the .5. And 100$ more than the 1.0 and I pretty much skipped the part with you attaching to that tiny tree, ain’t nobody doing that. And next time use a scale and weigh them seperate, just holding them in your hand and saying “yeah they weigh similar” isn’t very accurate. Other than that not bad!
I regularly use trees that size, maybe an inch bigger in diameter. While not always ideal it works when you need it to. These stands are made for hanging in the tree you need to be in. Kill trees
You guys need to have the straps level when you set the stand. Then cam it. Idk if you guys were doing this intentionally but it almost seemed like you were doing things incorrectly to make the beast stand seem better when by all accounts the lwcg stand bites the tree much harder than a beast stand. Also there’s videos out of the beast stand not being able to set in crooked trees without pulling back to center and thus being crooked and unlevel
Wasn’t intentional but we still don’t have any issues with caming into the tree with either stand they but stick very well even when it’s offset, I would still say the biggest difference why the beast stand is better is the size, it’s only a pound heavier and their is a ton more foot room, but for me I still use the lwcg every time because I don’t mind the smaller platform size because the seat is small to which helps the stand feel bigger and is also more comfortable because of the small size especially if you use a harness their no issue.
Nice comparison. I am 300 lbs and need a bigger stronger stand. I’m hoping one company recognizes the need for a comfortable light and strong big stand.
@@watchinggearreviews that is true I just searched it and use as rated correctly but just saying they have to test like 2x the weight that it’s rated for as written on archery talk
@@watchinggearreviews the lwcg stands come with a bunch more different ways to fit you personally now with seat size and beam hight so you can fit yourself but the beast stand still has a lot more room for the weight that’s why I prefer it
Why is everyone always harping on stand flex?????? Cast aluminum will flex if you 200lbs and bounce on it idgaf what make or model stand it is ! This is normal! If stand flex is a issue for you then try saddle hunting! Loc ons are designed for small frames people imo!
@@hunkersquad what angles? The ones we can’t see? lol other than the camera work that was awesome video! Exactly what I needed. You didn’t show favoritism or opinion just facts. Well facts other than the weight and just holding them. Might go ahead and weigh yourself holding each stand to give actual weight on next video. Really great video appreciate it.
