It's too bad Tem never got to give Els the love letter himself, but i have no doubt that Legosi giving it too her would've been Tem's final wish...but whether it was or not, Legosi honored the responsibility anyway.
So cool how you're mislead into thinking Legoshi is a dangerous carnivore from his introduction, just how everyone else thinks of him. The same happens with Haru, you see her from the outside looking in and look at her as the helpless dwarf rabbit everyone thinks she is, you only get to understand her true struggles once you get to know her actually character better. Most stories opt for their characters introduction to let you get to know exactly what that character is from the start, but this one completely flips it, which also ties into the whole, "don't judge a book by its cover" moral that beastars really seems to be going for. Such good writing.
I don't know if it's just me, but I had trouble understanding Haru's misgivings at first because I don't understand how physical size equates value or worthiness. As long as I can talk to or communicate with someone to some extent, then to me they're a person by default. I'm not trying to sound self-congratulatory at all, it's just not something that's usually at the front of my mind. It's also why I can't really feel connection through physical means like kissing, hugging or sex, so I wasn't sure if someone like me would ever be enough for someone like Haru when I can't prove my authenticity through sexual relations, only through intellectual relations.
@@shannonmcelroy8454 I don't think the reason society sees Haru as less than others is about _actual_ size. It's more about the established stereotypes of their world. People see Haru as less than everyone else because she's a dwarf rabbit, just like they see Legoshi as dangerous because he's a wolf, both of them didn't choose to be these animals at birth, but they still have to live with these stereotypes no matter how true they may be to themselves. As we see in the show, Legoshi is a gentle and kind person, but he was also born a wolf, thus, everyone will take him at face value based on what society deems wolves to be, Wolf = dangerous, tough monster. So everyone will see him as such. Same with Haru, Dwarf rabbits are small and fragile, and so that is how people with treat them. It's not like these stereotypes are "wrong" necessarily, but they aren't exactly right either. Dwarf rabbits *are* small and fragile, but inside they are still a person just like everyone else, it's just that they are pushed into these societal boxes because that's just how they were born, and that's just how the world works.
The hippo is among the most dangerous animals in the world. Its highly aggressive and has a unpredictable nature. Recent observations have also shown that they consume carcasses on occasion including their own species. Most big herbivores snack on protein in some form (eggs, chicks, birds, etc) but canibalism is rather unusual.
The craziest part is knowing what kind of animal Legoshi really is. He walks around in the school knowing fully well what kind of DNA he really has, and he never even mentions this in the entirity of these crazy things what are happening in the first 2 seasons. He didn't even tell this to Gouhin. I won't spoiler, but everyone will be surprised as f@ck later on.
Yeah I feel ya. I read ahead of the manga after watching the first season. I was just as shocked to learn more about Legoshi’s family. I haven’t even read Vol 21 & 22 yet. Lol.😊😁🤯🐺🏫🌕🩸🐾
"Wanna start a fight?" Yeah of course, because fighting the 6'5 and 250lb Tiger who is bigger, tougher, more agressive and better prepared for a fight than you sounds very wise
Zebra: wanna fight? me: you've got some balls girl edit:thank you for 46 likes i never gotten this many likes before edit2:thank you for 115 likes you guys are the best
@@Tads667 I don't know, Herbivores can be quite a challenge In real life carnivores usually hunt in packs. A single lion *can take on a zebra, but they also risk getting socked in the jaw because of their powerful hind legs
I sometimes wish we would have had more vignettes exploring the daily lives of the other characters. Like Abel the eagle learning how to fly and going to get his license. Or the zebra and cheetahs are rivals on a track team. Or even an examination of the smaller mammals like the relationship between fennec foxes, mice, ferrets, weasels etcetera. Wolverine into the mix for amusement
I just found the soundtrack tab… where you can change the dub..Has it already existed in RU-vid for period or it’s just currently added…? I’m so late OMG Btw… nice work, Netflix!
vou falar uma coisa que não tem nada a ver com o seu comentário, mas vamo lá, só eu achei meio confuso o hipopótamo ta do lado dos carnívoros, onivoro conta como um carnívoro?
1:57 he knows, he knows what you did, you stole his cookies i already made that joke when Blitz, Loona, Millie & Moxxie from Helluva boss looked at us because when Blitz said Blitz: you know the kind of FREAKS up there that'll drool all over you then everyone looked at us
I absolutely love Legoshi!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I so wish he could be my adoptive Brother or our best friend in Reality❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐺🐺🐺🐺 he is the kind of hero Beastars and our world Needs
I've only seen clips of BEASTARS, but I think they're pushing the polarization of herbivores vs. carnivores a bit much. At least, I find myself saying, "Hey -- anteaters aren't herbivores! Lemurs aren't herbivores! Mandrills aren't carnivores -- completely!" a lot. Surely there are species that could play both sides and bridge the gap between camps . . . but then I look at political opinions on FaceBook [coming from just one species -- us] and despair.
Weird how they divided the animals between the two groups so arbitrarily. Flamingoes are actually carnivores, hippos are herbivores, monkeys and squirrels are omnivores.
"Que? Quieres pelear?" Claro, desafiar a una pelea a un tigre que es por mucho más grande, fuerte, pesado, agresivo y mejor preparado para pelear que tú. Que es lo peor que podría pasar?
Maybe he originally did plan 2 go 2 college with his friends, but once he gained a criminal record, he knew it'd be almost impossible after he was given his limits
Is it just me who noticed that there was a hippopotamus among the carnivores at 0:20, next to Bill.... Last time I checked, hippos do not eat meat!?.
They actually have been observed killing antelope crossing rivers and consuming them. Most herbivorous species will occasionally eat meat, if given the chance.
@@ZingoTheWolf-qb9cq omnivores? Maybe in certain situations they may eat meat, like if there's a scarcity of plant life or something🤔. But then again, there are some reports of deer killing birds and eating them at times so... I guess.
I gotta say I only watch clips of animes and I don't know a lot about the big ones but legoshis first appearance was somthing else just the way he lugs out and walks slowly to the female alpaca is amazing then he starts to speak I'd such a turn around because his voice is so awkward and gentle
Why is the hippopotamus with the carnivores? Hippos are omnivores, but they eat meat very rarely, they eat more grass than meat, in fact I don't understand why there are no omnivores...
Call me crazy but what I think what you see here is anime firstly introduced the furry fandom as carnivore and other people herbivores in Beastars, herbivores mistreat carnivore so does people mistreat furries. The message is very deep. Well done, paru.
Okay but why the hell would he approach her like that? She was obviously terrified, and then he grabbed her. Would it have killed him to say “Hey, relax, I just have a letter for you”?
@@rexwrecks5227 Yeah, Legoshi is established to be quite quiet, reserved and socially awkward. The idea of just texting her probably didn't cross his mind in all of the chaos.
okay I just noticed that a hippo was in with the carnivores, when they are herbivores exclusively. Though they are responsible for a lot of animal death, I feel the show could have made that a point that it's not what they eat, but how they're supposed to act that's the problem
One thing I find interesting about Beastars is that its said that its a human drama that can't necessarily be told if the characters themselves were human. It kinda makes me wonder if they did make the characters human, would all the carnivores be white people and all the herbivores be colored people? If that were the case then it would probably result in the manga/anime being more racist than The Boondocks.
That's what makes Beastars so good, while on a surface level it may seem like an allegory for Human race relations, in truth it would be impossible to tell if you took away the fact the characters are all anthropomorphised animals. For that reason I do not believe Beastars was intended as an allegory for human society (there are some elements which are applicable, but as a whole it's not intended to be), the story just would not work with humans. Also Beastars was written by a japanese woman. They don't have the same race relations issues the US has. Japan is like 99% ethnically Japanese and that's the way they like it.
@@deyonwhittaker978 the beastars would one of the most interesting anime worlds to live in. If I had to to choose a species I would probably most likely go for the spotted hyena. They are very intelligent and have one of the strongest bite force in the animal kingdom so that would come in handy during a fight with another predator.
I read the manga, but I won't say any spoilers just answer the question. The only bats that I remember appearing in the series were adults so probably just other schools. About the sea creatures there probably wouldn't be any in this school because the land and aquatic creatures seem to be divided just with few exceptions
