They recommend telephoto, so really anything over 50mm and also an aperture of f/2.8 or faster. The nature of the DOF creates a focus vignette, but the longer lenses minimize being able to see that.
Haven’t seen one, but Beastgrio does have other lens mounts like for Nikon, Pentax and more. beastgrip.com/collections/dof-adapter I have seen EF to C mount adapters, but they are mounting to a C mount not the other way around like you’d need here.
Hi! What do you think the result would be if you use the DOF adapter to shoot and the Nucleus Nano II remote with the Blackmagic App (they are compatible)? My guess is that you will be changing the focus on your phone but not the lens. Either way, I am eager to try that out myself and find a solution if needed. Great video!
Yeah pretty much. Using this set up you would lock the phone focus and then actually manually focus the lens. Sure, no one is saying don’t have a traditional camera. I own lots of cameras. Most photographers or filmmakers do This is just an accessory like you would get with any camera, and they’re niche, but definitely not useless.
