This combo, of Mike just throwing out a new beat every verse and the Boys adjusting and riding it....unstoppable. Literally watched the whole thing with a smile on my face. So lucky to have seen them live twice.

They justNEVER stopped getting better... GUTTED one of 3 Bands I COULD have seen and chose to work.. Prodigy being another.. the other is RHCP with John (mutha fuckin'- _ ) Frusciante ... there MAY be hope for that one.. I certainly am old enough nOW to know that work can wait until I am dead .. but GOOD MUSIC Waits for NO cunt

I’m 34, it took me until maybe 2 weeks ago… something just clicked when my wife put them on. I was amazed at myself for all the years I pretty openly dismissed them, (without ever trying) Now I think, within 2 weeks, they’re as important to me as when I first heard the Beatles as a child!

Yauch always had a great voice and probably the best flow, but this video shows he was still getting better and better.

dave790 Yauch's voice in the beginning was their best grounded strength since Mike and Horowitz were so nasally but as the years went on Yauch's flow was not their best at all. He was their creative architect and video director but honestly, he became their worst MC. His voice was gone live after Hello Nasty. Horovitz had the best flow and lyrics. Mike became the best at interviews.

Basically none of that is factual, so stop stating it like it is! Obviously opinion based, and I’m inclined to disagree... I’d point to numerous post-HN performances where they are all clearly on fire (Paris 04, Vegas 04, Live Earth 07 etc), or some other instances where Yauch is probably holding it together (London ICA 04), or countless interviews where one is perhaps on better form than the other. They were generally always top though, all 3 of them, whether interviews or live. Nothing you say has dissuaded me from my belief that Yauch got tighter and stronger as an MC, and in my mind I have endless material and gigs I attended to prove it. Cheers.

DJ Hurricane was MUCH BETTER than MMM. Mike was always trying to "be new and unexpected" instead of just bringing the beat. Too many loops and scratching for the sake of scratching does not work.
