The disclaimer here should be that white can have a good game if they just avoid taking your sacrificed bishop on f2.... There's a long line that can lead to a draw

I studied this variation with Stockfish. Kf1 is the move that stops completely Black's attack. Now they have to move the queen and you win a rook. Or he can just hung the Queen.
@rogueninja6816

If Kf1 then Qf3 is check, after white king move you can save your rook but it's a waste of sacrifice. Or after you can try Knight F7 which is a fork.

@rockmyworldmusic
@rockmyworldmusic 3 месяца назад
@rogueninja6816 I assume that you're talking about checking the white King correct? If the King moves to f1, then the Bishop is still on f2. Since it wasn't captured, there can be no check from "Queen f3." I think what you're trying to say is that if the Bishop sacrifice is accepted then Ne4 checks the King on f2. And if the King retreats to f1, then there would be Queen f6 check. But I'm pretty sure the point the original comment was making was to deny the sacrifice. You would move the King to f1 leaving the Bishop on f2. That's how you beat the counter play.

Someone did that to me. His king didn't took my bishop at f2. My king was checked, so I moved it and then he put his bishop back at c4. I moved a pawn to d6 to free my bishop and was going to attack his queen. He then moved his knight to f7, saved my queen, he took the rook which I was hoping for because it was more of a distraction to now attack with my knights, queen and bishop and won.

@@tanelkagan no fork, its so obvious
@tanelkagan
@tanelkagan 3 месяца назад
@@nm22495 Sure, no fork, but it's a free pawn and a check to the king. Not only that, but since the knight defends the bishop it forces Ke7 or Kf8, either bringing the king further out in the open, or blocking the rook, in either case resulting in black losing the ability to castle, either now or later. Let's just look at your logic. You're watching a video which is specifically explaining to you how white taking with the knight (because the fork is so tempting) is actually a bad move, because black can play a line that easily wins. You appear to be fine with that. At the same time the alternative move, the capture with the bishop, which doesn't result in that losing sequence, and which gains a pawn, checks the king and prevents future castling, you argue is "stupid". You've got it entirely the wrong way around, and seem to be entirely missing the point of the video. A move is not "stupid" because the majority of beginners wouldn't play it - in fact it's entirely possible, even probable, that beginners would NOT see the better engine move. If you still can't understand this, I can only suggest you study harder and improve your knowledge. There's nothing wrong with not knowing but being cocky about your chess knowledge when you don't yet possess it is pointless and will just hinder your development. The question as to what to do if the bishop takes was an entirely valid one and maybe GM Smirnov would make a recommendation. I don't have a clear answer but as I say the king is forced to move to e7/f8, so white gains a tempo and it's a question of what they do next.
