Great video... I just got mine and will use it with the Aeros Loop Studio and hopefully automate my looping experience...lots to learn though. Do you have any looping tutorials that use both?
After two weeks looking at RU-vid video's en reading information, I have to correct my last review of this video. It's a lot of infomation, but I can say now that my opinion is postiv. One tip: it should help me as you make this video in for instance 3 or 4 parts (for each subject) in stead of one part. ., But thanks for the information!
Thank you for your generosity in sharing all of this priceless info. We just bought our beatbuddy and FS and you have already done SO much to get us up and running. We purchased a mini2 and were immediately schooled as to how much more we needed. Singular kindly allowed us to send it back for full credit toward the big buddy. Can’t wait to put it to work.
Thanks for the tutorial. It was a big help. However, I would like to add one correction. According to the recent manual, SD cards are supported up to 32 Gigabyte
Hi, great content you have here. in practice setting, when we just want to practice, lets say, the end chorus: is it possible to select the last part in your song in beatbuddy, without having to go through the song from the beginning and having to press all the transisition?
thank you for all of your tipps! What annoyed me first on the beatbuddy was that it starts the beats on release of the main pedal. I didn't know that this can be changed to "press" in the settings. This was a big relief, maybe some of you guys find that handy.
Your interpretation is very confused. I don't know where I am. I understand well? If someone understands, your interpretation does not need. If someone doesn't understand it is your interpretation for nothing. SD card must be formatted on FAT 32 !!!!! It doesn't work on NTFS ...! For example. If you want to advise, so quite not just half, then it doesn't make sense and it creates confusion. Thank you very much. Jiri Merkl
Hi learned a lot and for me at 70 years old thats good. Are the outputs from the beatbuddy Balanced or unbalanced. I want to attach to my studio monitors direct but not sure what type of cable. Chhers John
Hey Jonathan thanks for all your tutorials but I’m having a difficult time down loading your beats could really use your help I purchased bb about a month ago still working through that if you could maybe explain the down loading a little slower and detailed I’m really ignorant with all the tech thanks
This is the video I’ve been looking for! Thank you sir.😊😊. Quick question…can you assign a simultaneous kick and cymbal strike to the left foot pedal instead of just a cymbal?
Thanks for doing all the hard stuff. It's a steep learning curve but your video is really helping. I'm sure the BeatBuddy is going to be a real asset to our worship times as the one thing we are lacking is a drummer.
Looks so complicated...I feel really put off...you have to be a computer wizard to know what to do...I'm not that technically minded enough to be able to follow such instructions, but thanks for trying for those clever enough to know what you are talking about! Good luck everyone...it all sounds great for those capable!
I quess that a negative review is'nt send in or is'nt published. I don't understand what you are doing. Not a word. To complex for me. Someone says' a steep learning curve' . Now, it will be. No doubt. I will try to understand the beatbuddy. Even it costs me a year!. The fact that I am not english is of course a disadvantage.
I feel like such an uneducated computer dunce but i cannot get your files downloaded. Every time I try it just shows up as an encrypted mess. Nothing gets downloaded at all. Would love to access the files you’ve shared, just can’t make it happen. It’s me I’m sure. Never have understood google drive very well. Maybe you could help explain why it won’t happen for me.
The beat buddy seems to be an awesome piece of equipment, but if this is a beginner’s guide then this is definitely not for beginner guitarists. Very complicated. Too complex for a beginning guitarists.
Hi there. I try to comment and share tips as people request, but have not had time to write new songs and record at all. Wish i had less other stuff in my life going on but it is what it is i guess..
Very well meaning and probably good for many to watch. Do you have to go so fast though? You would get the message across much better if you slowed down your delivery and allowed us to see what buttons you are pressing. It's all a bit of a blur and I really can't follow it. I guess it's not really for beginners. God bless you in any case.
Hi Brian. Thx for the comment. Which areas are you struggling with? I have a few other tutorials about the midi editor as well as making setlists etc if you need a more detailed tutorial. If you give me time codes of the areas you need more clarification i will respond to them in the comments?
Hi Joe, i remember that their first few version of firmware only supported 16gb. My projects with all 100 songs and different drumsets are between 1.1-1.5gb. You would never need more than 4gb. But if you already have the 32gb, give it a try and let us know?
Grrr...I can't even get the BB Manager up and running on my computer. can't find a true Beginners guide to help me with the basics. Everybody already has the beat buddy installed and going.
It’s only playing the intro and the first verse. It keeps staying on the first verse?! I down loaded your worship songs and it’s only playing the intro and first verse and it stays on the first verse and not the entire song! What am I doing wrong?! 😅
Wouldn't a beginner's tutorial show how to connect the device before turning it on? I know an older guy who got one and he didn't understand how everything connected, so I did it for him.
Thank you for the video! Please tell me, is it possible to use beatbuddy well if I will use only the switch pedal and do not use the main pedal? I play double bass and I want to use beatbuddy at live performances. If I put beatbuddy on the floor, I will not see anything on the small display and will not be able to switch styles and tempo, because it is not convenient to lean on the floor for each song with double bass. I need to put the beatbuddy on the music stand so that I can change styles, tempo and other things, and put the switch pedal on the floor and control my foot. Is it possible? Thanks!
Hi there. I know a few people using the BB quite well from their pianos. It should be fine. I have not used it like that but like i say, many others do :) I hope this helps
Just ordered a beat buddy for our worship team ... We have been struggling with spotty drummer attendance... So for those Sundays when we are facing not having a drummer... Beat Buddy will help out! Your video(s) and library will make my work much easier! Thank you so much and God bless!
Hey there! THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing this and for offering your files for free. I pastor a small immigrant church and we are considering to start using BB. As I tried to copy your folder (after downloading), it says, "The item "System Volume Information" can't be replaced because it's invisible". Did I miss anything, maybe a step or two? I am trying to copy the folder to a newly formatted 16GB class 10 SD card, as you suggested.
Love your video!Have a question for you, I am only playing piano in my home so I thought I would love to have BB so I did purchase a use one, so the question what do you suggest what I need and do you think I need the BB manager or should I just purchase your SD cards ? What is the price on BB manager and your library of drum beats. Thank you so much for your time
Hi there, unfortunately the BB mini can't have any customs songs or folders added. I do not recommend getting it for worship purposes, maybe practicing your rhythm perhaps but not live worship.
Can the Beat Buddy be configured set to play the songs in a specified order and each song from start to Finish without foot presses to transition to the next part in each song? Then use the pause just between songs?
Hi Mitch. I know there are people who program one press songs for the beatbuddy, which in affect just act as a drum multitrack trigger system i think. I personally have not tried or used it before..
Hi I have a question. The recent firmware I noticed that you can't stop the transition, Say I made a transition by error. how to stop the transition if my song got say 14 parts. In the firmware 3.80 it was possible to stop by just hitting the main pedal. I wonder how to do this with the firmware 3.9.9.4. thanks
Hi man. I was actually struggling to figure out why my transition was just going on and on with out me keeping it in. Thanks, now I know too. I do not know how to go about it without making sure your transitions is the correct length?
Again, great video...now I have even more questions... how can I take a MIDI file that has individual parts (Drums, Snares, Toms, etc.) and import to BeatBuddy?
@@BeatBuddyWorship - My main question is as follows, please: I don't want a Complete Collection or Groove Monkee type pack (because they do not contain genres of which I would use with my duo). There is a link (within the Beat Buddy site) which says "Don’t want the bundle? Click here to shop individual packs". If you follow this link it will take you to a page which contains drum-patters I AM interested in purchasing. These are, specifically: ALL Funk, Latin, Brazilian Perc., Jazz/Swing, Odd Time Sigs. However, it seems to be only the drum KITS, rather than the actual groves?! Otherwise, it appears the only other option is to purchase drum-beats in the STYLE of 100's of different Pop/Rock artists, which is not what I'm looking for to be honest. I hope I have explained my question OK for you. Thanks, Paul
I just accepted a worship pastor position at a small church that doesn't currently have a drummer. They have most of the other instrumentalists though. This looks like it might be a good option, at least for the time being.
Hi man...yes, when i bought mine in 2017...there was not many full worship songs...hence me starting to write some modern songs and starting the channel....glad you can just get one and be ready to go! All the best and let me know if you need any guidance or tips etc ;)
Hi there. I would suggest exporting the song, then re importing it and copying the first part and pasting it as another fourth part. That is how i make all my songs…i plan them out and some even have 12-16 parts (like the blessing). Hope it helps!
I was actually considering getting one until I saw this video It just looks extremely complicated in time consuming. If I have to go through all that just for one song it would be easier just to go find a drummer
Hi there. Yes that would always be better, a live drummer. If you dont have one or cant find one, then the BB is a good alternative if you are willing to do some practice :)
Hi! I have a few questions. How do you go to the next song in the setlist? Can drum fills be a different time signature from the main drum part? Like in "Resurrecting" by Elevation Worship, the time signature occasionally switches from 4/4 to 2/4. Thanks in advance!
Hi Neil. You can go to the next song using Bluetooth Device, check out my Onsong Video, or you can just tap the 2nd Foot Switch button. Getting the footswitch, or any other footswitch is crucial i think for live performances. Lastly, yes you can program different time signatures. I hope this helps ;)
I tried to use your version of the Battle Belongs from your google drive and I am not sure about the timing. When it switches to 2/4 time at the end of the chorus it doesn't match up. Any suggestions on that? I have tried so many things and it doesn't match up and I am always of count. Thanks!
You are very helpful! I'm a lead guitarist at a baptist church in NYC. I've been watching you for a while. Our drummer is away and we don't know when he will be back, it's frustrating but there is great solution. I ordered my beatbuddy and will watch more of your videos to learn more how to use it for the glory of our Lord Jesus! May God bless your ministry out there in South Africa
Hi Aimé! Thank you very much for dropping a comment! My cousin lives in NYC, i know you guys are going through some tough times with floodings, Pray that God will protect you and your family and bless your ministry as well! The BB will be of great help, i would recommend preparing one or 2 sets that you can use when your drummer is absent, then just practice those songs well. Def watch the video tutorial for the songs on my channel as you play them for the first time. God bless!
@@BeatBuddyWorship thank you Antonie for your prayers. It's been very tough in NYC over the last 3days. But by God's grace our neighborhood wasn't affected by flooding.
THANK YOU! Very thorough. I literally just opened up the box, got frustrated, and then there you are on RU-vid with complete how-to and with why you do it… and it’s in the context of real performance. Very gracious and kind for sharing. THANKS!! 🙏
