It's not every day you get beat by a 30-yard header from the smallest player on the pitch, but that's the life of a goalkeeper! You've got to take the rough with the smooth and always keep smiling!
Another fantastic 3-2 win by the lads, this time against Coventry City. After leading 1-0 we were quickly pegged back with the 30 yard header and then trailed 2-1 soon after. But a set-piece corner and a late penalty gave us all three points and moved us up to second in the Championship table, one point behind leaders Reading FC.

Do just want to say thanks though Ben because a few years ago my brother died and I was at the worst point in my life and wanted to just not be alive, but the one thing that kept me going was watford being in the 1881 and the moments at the game, and I just wanted to say thanks for being so good for the club and providing insane moments like that nearly goal against chelsea, just know that videos like these really do help improve people’s lives and sometimes when people can’t go and do the one thing that keeps them positive there’s no point and maybe without these videos some people wouldn’t be in this world, so thanks for everything Ben 🐝

This channel really gives you more insight and sympathy into being a professional goalkeeper. You become so acutely aware of how big the goal is and how crucial positioning can be. It's easy to forget when you're playing Sunday league or watching from the stands/on the TV that at the elite level, every single shot on target should be a goal and it takes incredible reflexes and agility to stop anything that looks like it's going in.

With this camera angle I really get a grasp of the speed of play... All the shots are rapid. Ben, from this angle, has some absolutely insane reflexes and jumping reach. He is commanding also. What impresses me the most is his footwork. It is sublime, especially for his height of 6'4. The power he has when backpedaling is insane, i have loads of trouble making even a simple catch when backpedaling. His positioning, at least in this match, could be better.
