Approaching an intersection as the light turns yellow requires a split-second decision. Is there enough time to make it through the light or not? A red-light traffic violation carries a $158 fine. A hearing will cost you an additional fee if found at fault, “in violation”. Ignore all the notifications and it escalates to a Uniform Traffic Citation and now it will affect your record and cost more. In a trial the first thing the Judge does is look at the photos and video evidence.
