Since I'm about to run out of pre-made videos, and due to the lack of success of the series. I'm temporarily moving to a "1 video every 2 weeks" scenario. Rather than being every week. This means less pressure to hit a deadline for something that is currently pointless outside my personal enjoyment. If the series starts to pick up and/or I end up making a nice stockpile of episodes, then it will return to weekly. ✌Next episode is here: www.patreon.com/posts/dreamcast-29-vs-100857373
There is bound to be that one Dreamcast game you'll eventually cover that will gain hefty traction. I haven't been subbed long enough to know and without scrolling through your entire back catalog, I must ask...has this series seen you cover Shenmue yet? If not, then I have a sneaking suspicion that could be the episode that propels you. And yes I know that would be an enormous undertaking. If not Shenmue then maybe...Phantasy Star (Online)? Or...Soul Calibur? Or..the OG Code Veronica? I dunno..
Love the series and your channel, Jordan! Totally understandable that you're scaling it back though, don't want to burn yourself out with this. But it's good to know it'll keep going! I'm rooting for ya! 💪🏻 This game looks like tons of fun in multiplayer mode btw. As for Kenny, I'll go with the classic 🛸🐮💀 (aka, an alien ship lifts a cow by tractor-beam and crushes Kenny with it)
Awesome series brother I love Dreamcast was my favorite system as a kid. Shenmue was so mind-blowing to my 11 year old mind. Keep up the work the passion comes thru.
I didn't really like South Park Rally, but I hope South Park gets another kart racer. One that's done way better and with Matt & Trey heavily involved this time around. It would be cool asf if they did an adventure mode similar to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. I wanna dust people online with Cartman lol. I just hope if we do get another South Park kart racer that it doesn't play like Rally where you have to race to each checkpoint. That ruins the whole point of a kart racing game.
While I understand your frustration with the view counts the series is getting, and I think it's perfectly fine if you want to change the series to a bi-weekly shcedule, it's also probably worth noting that ever since you started doing it weekly your sub count has been growing far more steadily than before, so I think it's important for the channel to keep the 1 video per week in one way or another. In that regard I would suggest doing another series that takes far less time and effort to make. For example, I think lists videos might be a solid option, since you've already done some and they usually do fairly well. Maybe instead of doing generic topics like "best beatem ups" "best metroidvanias" or another genre-related list, you could try spicing things up with more unusual topics, like "first party games on Switch everybody forgot about", "remasters that actually look worse than the original", "weirdest genre mash-ups in gaming" or "retro games that got far more re-releases than anyone would expect", etc.
