Even as a kid I thought this. It trivializes so much, I never wanted to have any other power-up (except for maybe the penguin suit at times).

Speaking of powerups introduced in this game that trivialize things, the penguin suit downright makes the ice plant STRICTLY an aesthetic powerup because it's the ice plant but BETTER!
