Hi Luuk! I play these stakes regularly and the most diffiult thing for me is to "unlearn" so much of what I've learned about GTO. I've had the best results when I play tight and straightforward. There is a lot of room to bluff, but the bluffs have to be strategic. People play very wide ranges (any four cards is not uncommon). They also overvalue Texas Hold 'em hands such as JJ QQ KK TT or even 88 with nothing else going for them. But the best strategy I've found is FIND YOUR FOLD. These players rarely bluff, and they almost never bluff strategially. Bluffs are usually haphazard, and the people that do are usually overly aggressive with everything. If a player that is generally passive bets pot or raises you, fold everything but monsters. Open wide in late position and overfold in MP and UTG. Play a linear strategy against passive players and polarized vs. maniacs reducing your bluff frequency by about half. Fold the low end of your range to multiway limp pots, and muck your sets on wet boards with action. Be patient, play solid fundamentals, and let them make mistakes into you.
Nice to see some micro play. I understand the rake problem, but if I can't beat 2pl why would I play 25pl? 1 zoom table would indeed be easier to follow...
With the rake being so big, PLO MTTs are a really good alternative for microstakes. But with most sites including antes and with and most pots being multiway, we really need some materials for playing wide limping ranges in multiway pots! So, what do you think, are you up for it? :P
Hi Luuk, great vid as always! Quick question on 27:10 You mention if you were the villain you would stack off there, so is it profitable to stack with 9944 specifically THERE because we have the blockers? What about naked bottom set 44xx on that same flop? do we still go for it?
Hi Julio, Yes at this SPR bottom set is very strong. I would generally stack off most of these hands on the flop as your opponent will not fold anymore vs shove and you will have good equity vs his overpair heavy range. Weak bottom with without great playability are better fast played at this SPR, as the equity on the flop is very good but your hand will be vulnerable on later streets.
At what buy in does the rake problem get better? I currently play 2 or 10 but am not great, I’m a slightly losing player. I plan on signing up to PLO Mastermind in the next month and taking my game more seriously as I want to make a side income from it. How long do you think it would take me to be able to play at 25 and make a profit and is the rake better at that level?

I like this video a lot. Seeing you play the small micros is a good thing. My only issue as that the 4 tables are a bit too small. Having focus on one active table would be great.

Great video! Next time how about 2 tables of Zoom? I like to watch these micro sakes because it mimics live poker. People paly very loose ranges. Also I have trouble vs those players that are loose agressive and don´t mind gambling away their stacks. The problem is you rarely can play HU pots in these games. ven if there´s a raise and a 3 bet there are 1 or more cold calls. Do you reccomend playing short or covering the stacks and taking it to the streets? I know it´s good to play ip and with tight ranges.
I dont recommend playing short stacked strategy at the lowest stakes. This only becomes profitable at a certain stake level as the rake is so high at low stakes and you want to play as much and as often as possible pots where you reach the rake-cap and therefore dont have to pay rake anymore. Awesome content! My problems lies in the preflop game I think, Struggling to know what to do against Limps, call call .. When I pot they will not fold. Whats the marginal/borderline hands to pot over limps, I see people limp aces aswell to limp 3b. Also struggle with how to play against opens, what is good to 3b, call. And how to play small blind in straddle pots? In live games its often double straddle pots with lots of limping, you dont have fold equity ever. Whats the hands to use, and also who looks like an good open, but is not Looking forward to watch more videos of Luuk, gonna be fun learning and improving my game 😃
You dont want to limp that much behind imo when the rake is high. If the rake is relatively low you can, using mainly hands that can draw to the nuts imo, as its likely more people will come into the pot. Facing a limper you want to think also about the people behind you. Ask yourself, will you play a HU pot vs the limper often or will the player(s) behind you also come in when you raise and therefore you play a MW pot? In which case you want to tighten up more. In straddled pots, the SPR gets lowered a lot, making it more a short stack game. Therefore you want to become tight and 3-bet more aggresively with equity driven hands.
@@LuukBotter86 I can answer that question pretty easily. It's rare you see headsup pots in live cash games here. Usually people come along, even when people 3bet, people are still cold calling especially with all the double suited hands and generally connected hands that looks pretty. People just hate to fold :P My current strategy is folding alot, even some beautiful connected hands because they are on the lower side and I'm afraid of being dominated by a higher connector (since it's usually 4ways+ to the flop, in some occasions only 3way) you don't have fold equity in these live games preflop. Maybe one hand in a 8hour session you might get fold when you Raise. It's always someone who calls :p The most mental challenging part about my game is the complaints from the other around the table that I fold all the time. I even got the answer that. "we don't use ranges here, just play more hands". In a negative semi-angry way. How would you deal with it, does it happen to you in live games, or do you play differently in Live?
@@cameronfoster8735 no lol, just call and see the flop. If you have sh*tty AA, fe. AA72r, you should never go all-in pre, unless you are against short stack or you are the short stack. All-in pre with rainbow aces without connectivity are toxic on your bankroll, and its getting worse on mw pots, because your set outs gets usually thinner
