This is my rule for challenge playthroughs, like my own Pokémon Moon no catching play through. I refuse to purposefully fail a shiny, so I allow myself to catch them, just not use them.
Fitting that he finishes off this glorious playthrough with his final Pokémon taking a well-deserved bow. Fabio was great in this episode, and it makes me glad to see my favorite Pokémon performing so well.

U should make a main channel video where Grunty Boi does the episode and then, at some point, Mikey walks in and is like "Grunty Boi? What are you doing in my office?" and Grunty Boi is like "I have stolen your channel" and rather than announcing a sponsor, it announces either this channel or a new one.
They reference the fact that the alolan protagonist sometimes look happy in times of crisis in Pokemon Masters. Elesa makes a joke and it takes 30 seconds for Elio and Seline to laugh at the joke.
As much as I’m grieving for him, didn’t he already catch one before in his ‘Catching All Wormhole Shinies’ video? I guess it never hurts to have another, but still, it wouldn’t make it as bad of a loss.
It was so funny that Grunty boy tricked Mikey into thinking he changed his evil ways by buying a speaker without stealing it but he didn't really change. Also l love the shiny sigilyph so pretty.
What an amazing idea for a challange. I respect you so much for sticking to the rules and not catching the shiny. I would not have had the willpower to do the same!
Well you can also say that you don't use any pokemon you catch in any way (so not even counting it for poke pelgo's pokemon counter) and that would still count for a no catching run.
I was playing this game, got to ultra Necrozma, swept my team until... Kivin the hero came out, he survived hits most powerful move with 1 hp (not even a focus sash!) which a Noivern isn’t supposed to be tanky, fired back with a devastating drake which... OHKOed. From then on he was a legend.
Just an added onus to Nanu being aced with a Guzzlord. In the original SM, he mentions there was one who killed his and Looker's partner on a mission. (So, presumably, he saw it EAT a woman.)
The fact that Fabio outsped so many in this playthrough (and that Libre _didn't)_ i believe is due to IVs. *MY* Decidueye in my UltraSun has TERRIBLE IVs, which i discovered almost immediately when I got the Judge function (i think it was even THE worst IV 'mon of my team, but it had still been SO GOOD in the playthrough! i'm just imagining how crazy strong one with good IVs is, now..). and yes, that was random - my friend's starter Decidueye (in Moon, tho) has GREAT IVs, considering the randomness. ah well. also, i noticed you kept having *loads* of almost-KOs this playthough, opponent surviving with close to 1 HP, and the same thing keeps happening to me in my current Pokémon White (re)playthrough. no, it didnt happen this much in previous playthroughs but THIS ONE. THIS *ONE* playthrough, i've failed *SO* many times to KO an opponent (and i don't just mean almost OHKO-ing, KO-ing in general), but they don't survive with like 10-20 HP left - *NO* they literally keep hanging on on *ONE PIXEL* of HP!! no, they don't have held items like Focus Sashes, no, they don't use Endure, etc. - they just HAPPEN to survive on 1 HP. ALL THE TIME. very annoying. sry for wasting ur time lol bye
And this was the day Mikey's opinion of Primarina changed forever... Also, I didn't understand everyone's grievances with Ultra Necrozma until now. My Decidueye got REALLY lucky with an outspeeding crit Z-Move, I guess...
I remember on my first play through of ultra sun I had a level 65 decidueye and lost right away because it outsped me *legendaries suck* and it knew power gem and swept the rest of my team. Then I just reset my game and tried again and ohkd it with decidum z after holding a focus sash 🥲
Its so funny watching this series at the same time as the original ultra sun series mikey did, because he had a lot of the same reactions to these fights now as he did then.
About that whole Hawlucha getting out sped thing. The reason why that happened is because the opponents pokemon had a lot of speed evs while Hawlucha had very few.
Does anyone else agree that in no catching challenges, Mikey should be allowed to catch shinies as long as he doesn't use them, since that's a better alternative to having to kill shinies?
