It wasn't perfect, but I had fun trying to beat Rayvis using only the Crossguard stance on Jedi Grandmaster Difficulty. Socials: Twitch: / llost Twitter: / imllost TikTok: / im_llost
It’s pretty much the only way to beat him for someone who sucks at parrying as I do. Also force refilling perk is a life saver for throwing saber in his face every 10 secs or so.
@@Xellius13 I went the ultimate pussy way: plus one stim perk, stance regen skill and extra stance perk. Also used dual wield so I could cancel my attacks if I mistimed them. Still took a couple tries but it made him much easier to just brute force.
Ahhhh man, well done! Crossguard is my favourite stance, so powerful. I can get through the first stage of Rayvis no problem, but then he decimates my stims on the second bit and I run out!
You can stagger him with the charged basic attack (hold basic attack button). So when there is an opening I like to hit him once, then hold to stagger him (it comed out really quick as well) and then do a third swing for big damage
Fr it's fucking insane. Only downside is that it's bad for crowd control, which means literally any other stance except the single blade pairs well with it
Durge was extensively experimented on, that explains why he was tougher to kill than Rayvis, Gen’dai are absolutely insane, but Durge was the finest warrior they ever produced. He’s Star Wars’ analogue to Deadpool or Wolverine.
This was the only stance I could beat him with on grandmaster. I tried dual wield and double bladed for so long before finally just saying fuck it and used the crossgaurd. Once I got down the parry times it was smooth sailing through the first stage. Second was still rough for a while but eventually got it down. Only stance I use for him on my NG+
My brother in christ... i had been trying and failing using duel wield this whole time..... 2nd try with a red cross saber..... it was absolutely insane. And the perk w stims giving u force energy... done deal. Also, using pull max'd out to pull him out of combos was extra helpful.
I tried doing it completely with cross guard but I found that using the perfect parry skill with the dual wield helped chip away at him, and then once his stamina was out cross guard was good for big damage
Meanwhile me, despite having a talent for good timing, used the double bladed lightsaber for the whole fight and just dodged all the melee attacks (Grandmaster difficulty). I dealt with the entire first phase by deflecting the blaster fire back and force pushing the missiles. For the second phase I dodged all the melee attacks by double jumping/air-dashing, threw my lightsaber at him periodically mid flip to stop him from regenerating, and deflected blaster fire back (again). I managed to hit him directly by waiting for his unblockable grab (good for two attacks) or force pulling him to break a melee attack chain (good for one attack).
I used this stance to beat ravis. I came in with full health, 11 stims and the unity perk to get an additional stim and by the end I was in red with 0 stims left. This fucker took 12 stims off of me throughout the fight and I loved it.
The first time I played him on Jedi knight difficulty I couldn’t win with the dual lightsabers so I went full cross guard and won pretty easily, I’m replaying in NG+ now and haven’t gotten up to him yet but I was planning on doing full cross guard on Jedi GM on him, so far I’ve been pretty much playing exclusively cross guard
On the bright side, this makes Kylo’s heavy swings in the sequels make a bit more sense but unfortunately Rey has the same problem with a standard saber😂
It's all about the kyber crystal. You have a really unstable crystal (or two in one hilt, in Cal's case), or a really inexperienced duelist, it's going to be more unwieldy
İ beat him in gm with 2 stims. At one point i got so frustrated that i developed a strategy to endure hits and not use stims till i was one hp and then get the hp restore thing and go into stage 2 like that and then beat rayvis with dual and blaster stance
i feel for ravis to be the species he is, they really under used him. this should of been like boss fight one where you dice him in two thinking you killed him, only to encounter him again being like what the hell. def would be a shock to people who dont know he can put himself back together, and for a game that added dismemberment…huge wasted opportunity. Still a cool character though and love the game.
Yo @LLost so you managed to do parries in the harder 2nd phase, but could not parry the first phase? What on earth? what was all that moving about, you can cheese first phase parry easily.
I fought tooth and nail to beat him with each stance and then finally tried cross guard and beat him with ease. So cross guard def the stance you want in second phase most definitely. It definitely the easiest to beat him with
don’t sprint and strike because it won’t swing ur lightsaber but cause a flying kick which leaves you vulnerable. wait for the enemy to be stunned or be tired from using a massive attack and then do the massive strike ability. also one of the skill tree abilities has a ranged attack ability. and finally make sure ur using the target lock
@@krick_mufc9291 I like speed a lot, so my go-to for harder enemies is to break their guard with Dual Wield, and then mollywop them with the Crossguard. Having the Versatility and Shatter perks make this even better.
this games seems so awesome.....wish it would stop crashing on pc. anyone that has it on console does it run okay? no, its not my hardware, this game's pc port is just ass
Once I got my settings dialed in and turned off RT, the game’s been basically crash-proof for me. The odd one here and there, but I’m probably at over 60 hours so far and no issues.
i beat rayvis on grandmaster too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aDR6Qokwvg4.html I used dual wield and crossguard with lightsaber throw damage perk and the one that makes your damage go up if you switch stance. those were my main ones. So first phase i really just use Twin Vipers a couple cuz it does take a large chunk if you can get them to take all the Hits with his big body.
