@@x-celsius5905it is tool assisted but it was cut the moment he hit the door. in the regular game, it’s not possible because the first floor and top floor are different sections so you would have to get the key to unlock it to get in
Theres a cut between the first jumps when he enters the castle to the second floor. He cant normally enter the second area of the castle until he beats the first bowser because the spawn area doesnt exist yet.

Impressive edit, but the upstairs of the castle isn’t loaded until you open the spiral staircase door. The 2nd bowser key is needed to access the upper floors.
@@alchemistofsteel8099 yeah but the run is fake because you cant go to the upper floor without getting a key because you have to open the door to load the upper floor
@@alchemistofsteel8099 what do you mean? anything can have loading, it's not a hardware thing. pokemon red and blue had decompression capabilities to load pokemon sprites to conserve rom space
Theres a splice when Mario BLJ’s, and even if he got to the spiral stairs, he’d be unable to get into the upper floor because there would be a black void/wall in the loading screen when you BLJ into the staircase. When you open the staircase door, that black void/wall is there (I’m pretty sure,). So, you’d have to cut the video to get him to the spiral stairs without the loading screen, so technically the speedrun is fake and Mario would die while trying to get the cake while tryna TAS SM64 in a minute. I’m not criticizing em And so, the world record would still be 4:20:69. (Nice)
this isnt real this is fake because you HAVE to get the key in order to get to the endless stairs, even if you glitch through the door, its just some stairs and a black void and an invisible wall blocking you from going into the black void this run is just a fake speedrun
First there is a scene cut in the first key door, that will never be possible. Second there is faster way to finish final stage than its done in this tas
@@danielthedudebut, its impossible TASes arent just “bend the game to your own will to beat it incredibly fast” its more or so “do the game, without any splices or mods, as fast as possible” The most prominent example is the warp from Lobby to Upstairs which is completely impossible to do so since both the Lobby and Upstairs are two separate loading zones
@@one-eyed-dudeBut it's clearly a *fake* (or at least video-edited) TAS. Skipping from the castle foyer directly into the second/third floor is simply not possible, not even with BLJ speed. Those two areas are not loaded at the same time, and the loading zone doesn't trigger if you just clip behind the door with hyper speed. That's why even the world record TAS collects the 2nd Bowser key; you NEED that key in order to even access the top floors.
My favorite superpowers at all times: Glitching through reality like in mario 64 just jumping on stairs backwards position and travelling through speed of light passing through walls.

I just watched a short- before this one - that explained why this speedrun is fake. Defeating the first two bowsers is necessary for the upstairs room to load. Even if you glitch through the key door without defeating the two bowsers, the room isn't loaded, and you can't continue.
Please teach speed runners how to skip Peach’s Letter, they would thank you for it, as long as you don’t tell them that you start the timer after that cutscene has finished…
