Of someone ever tries to make a personal Mario 64 hack, I think that not only important details would be personalized, but also very subtle details that truly make the game feel different every time

i'd personally go with an attempt at making an efficient ai to theoretically try to generate actual personalization through small changes like coins being moved, or a flying cap, or metal cap, or it going easier or harder based on how the player seems to be doing like how l4d technically is personalized

That's what the warped worlds rom hack was aiming for before it's cancellation

It’s a well known glitch where one of the daedric guard enemy types in “The Shivering Isles” uses up like 1000 ID at a time a piece and at around the 200 hour mark this will have caused the object ID counter to “rollover” and it will then overwrite the object IDs of everything in the game eventually

A game better off without the player? Whats the point of a game if no one playes it?

The sound isn’t wind, it’s actually the waterfall. So, the waterfall’s sound *and* visual disapeared.

@@indeepjable fuck, I didn't notice that not sure if it invalidates my interpretation, was fuck-up of the programmer or they chose to remove it to not having ambience sound competing with the music.

@@indeepjable Yeah, but that doesn't matter much in the interpretation. Especially considering the fact that this game was made to be anti-human, and is supposed to be a lesson. People say this is a horror game, but if you go far enough, you get a reality ✔. There is no jumpscare, just a message saying how the world is better without you.

Something else to note: The final variation of the game somehow doesn't crash when using a savestate. I was able to load to the 4th iteration of the game from the "deleted mario" state, but not the others. Also I had 18 seconds remaining when I got to the top.

@@Overseer190 Sounds potentially more like an emulator issue, since I was able to put savestates down wherever and load from them just fine. Having anti-savestate measures in place intentionally would've been a neat touch, though.

What happens if you go to the flowerbed with the signs at the final segment?
