Great video! I will use this system as Black. One fix is at 14:45 Black would not play Nd3, he would play mate in three. 1...Ra1 2. Ka1 Qa7 Kb1 Qa2#

I was searching the comments for this! It's like a tactics puzzle.

I have just run this through chessbase, and I have to say, it seems like an excellent system! Not played too often by Black, but does appear to be very dynamic. White doesn't have any major branches either, so you should get these moves in most of your games against the London. Time to test it out!

VERY instructive, Sir! I play the London myself, but got beaten up in it lately! So I thought I'd learn how to deal with it from the Black side, and boy ... White has to be a little careful here and there! I looked it over and fooled around with different moves for White, and there are actually some interesting minefields and boobytraps White has to avoid! Thanx, man! ;O)

4:03 what if he takes with the c pawn!? This move seems much more likely at my rating.

Nice video! I used to play the Mason Attack with the white pieces and now I'm kind of...almost afraid of it as black ^D^. Because when I played it with white I would always make up my own theory, and the London is surging in popularity with many more people making their own theory. One problem I face is that - I'm a Nimzo-Indian player, and against 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nf3 I like to play 2.e6, but then white plays 2.Bf4. I like to play 2...d5 against 2.Bf4 but not against 2.Nf3 because I still don't know what they truly will play, and after 2...e6 when 3.Bf4 appears on the board I get kind of disappointed. From that point, I've tried the hedgehog but I don't enjoy that position for black. Do you have any other suggestions for what black can play after the move order 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nf3 e6 3.Bf4? Thanks and Happy Checkmating :)

Excellent video. I play the London as white and this is an excellent video to prepare for as black. Interesting how the light square bishop influences decisions.

Nice video :) Do you also have a good line in the exchange slav incase white plays c3 instead of e3? That would be the issue for me in playing this way against lower rated players, I agree the caro kann lines are unbalancing.

In the very last line where after black's Nb4 and white's Qc1, doesnt Ra1+ lead to a forced mate instead of the suggested Nd3?

Yeah, nice find! During the game, I must have forgotten to look at ...Qa7+ after the clearance (...Ra8+ doesn't win). When the king is this open white is asking for trouble :)

Candidate Master: in other words, he has all of the master norms necessary to become a master just not an ELO of 2200 yet. As soon as he reaches a rating of 2200 he becomes a NM or National Master.

Simon Williams has a good video on this line, which essentially busts the London, turning the game into a Benoni . (I think you meant Qb6 for Blacks third move)
