Beating Tribal Stage in LESS than 2 Minutes (No Mods)

This speedrun is mostly a meme for fun and will not be replacing regular speed runs of Tribal Stage featuring all 5 rival tribes.
This category of speedrun is denoted as "New Game+" as this category allows for inter-stage assistance in this speedrun. This used the Firework ability which is unlocked from Creature Stage and used Planet Sculpting Tools from Space Stage. Normally in speedruns we do not allow for speedruns of Individual Levels to get extra "help" or assistance from other Stages or saved games.

I've been playing since the end of 2008 and realizing that you could mess with saved games by doing this has blown my mind into pieces. I had _no idea_ you could even modify a planet that doesn't have a saved game on it yet, either!

Idk if it’s possible but you may be able to Planet Buster a saved game and corrupt the file for it

I thought he _was_ modifying a planet with a saved game on it, but only like cell stage or whatever. How do you find a planet that _can_ be played on but before it even has a saved game on it?

It still boggles my mind you can technically go and visit your other saves. It must be a big ordeal since there’s millions of planets on the way between the two worlds. Great work and it shows just how cool this game can be.

I knew you could do this. A month ago I was playing on a game and I went in to make a colony. Just a gas station so to speak. And the system looked like a player system. All the stuff was there. And I was allowed to use tools. I saved and quit to see if the system was able to be turned into a new game and it was. Up until then I assumed the game just made the system when you started the game. I discovered this be mistake. Blew my mind and I immediately ran to tell my brother.

I'd assume that there's only spawn locations on the first continent.

@@walkblessed445 Actually spawn locations are at every island. I played around with this and linked every continent together. Proceeded to play normal game and could migrate to another "continent". Tribes do spawn there. But only set amount of tribes will spawn always or less, it wont seem to go over the limit.

You can do something similar in Civ if you bridge the continents (though it's tricky to get it do stick) There'll only be 4 cities, and the game will initially get stuck after capping number 4, but saving and reloading unsticks it.

Are you able to edit the planet and connect the continents before starting creature stage, for a much larger or maybe buggier exploration?

As long as the starting nest is not under water Creature Stage should work with all the continents connected as well. I haven't done that yet but that could make for some fun exploring!

It does. I merged all continents and successfully played creature stage in it. Even the sea monster respects new land or new sea borders.

Hey! I have a question. I've been trying to play spore in my windows 10 system for some time but it's been so frustrating. There are so many crashes, especially on the tribe and space stage. I've tried a lot of things from Google but nothing has helped. Do you have any tips? How is it working for you?

How were you able to change this planet in space stage on the latest version of the game? I knew that you could change unsaved home planets in earlier versions of the game (by searching for them in space stage and then terraforming them). But in a later version of the game unsaved „new game planets“ were removed from the game. And as far as I‘m concerned it‘s not possible to change „saved game home planets“ because the game doesn’t‘t let you use terraforming tools unless you use mods (which is something i did to make my own customized game planets :))

I think that you can change saved game home planets if you are on a cell stage on that planet, because I remember doing something like that at some point. That way you also know the name of the planet, making it easier to find. But, as the op showed, even something like this is possible, which is fascinating

The New Game planets should exist in other Space games. In the New Game planet load space and find the coordinates just above the progress bar then quit out without saving. These will be the same coordinates for that star system in another saved space game. Let me know if you are still having trouble locating the New Games, using coordinates should help :)

I remember one time I started creature stage, my home nest was in water, and I'd get eaten by the sea monster if I tried going on land. Maybe it was a planet I unknowingly messed with on another save? Can you mess with the terraforming and play creature stage on a world with lava oceans?

If you find another nest on the coastline, you can migrate to it and then are able to walk back onto the land! :) If we reduce the terra-score under 3, the planet is no longer available in the main menu to play on anymore, unfortunately.

Does the game create new planets when new games are created? You can have more than 15 games.

whenever i die in the tribal stage the game starts with other creatures attacking my base and i only have 1, it's like a loop anyone know why?

When Tribal Stage is lost, losing the main hut or losing all the tribe members, the game reverts to the beginning of Tribal Stage or a previous save. Did you save just before the main hut was destroyed?

@@mikeehrmantraut2 There's a glitch that's possible to stay alive even with a destroyed hut if you save at the same time using (control + s) the hut is destroyed. I can't find a video demonstrating it but it's totally possible and might be worth trying if your are stuck. I'll probably make a full show case of that one day!
