You know it might be fun to see a speedrun of the 'Bad Decision Circus', with what I imagine is the hardest speedrun for each stage: Blue out of Cell, Green out of Creature, Red out of Tribal, and Blue out of Civ.
Video was alright until you said Civ stage was your favorite stage. We're all entitled to our opinions but civ stage was worse than tribal stage. So tedious and long. At least Tribal was short
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but you can reset creature stage ability cooldowns by mating and then immediately backing out of the creator screen. I got through my first pacifist hardmode run by constantly refreshing the cooldown of siren song.
I wanted to place a colony on earth right where my hometown would be. But I'm from Michigan, which is rather hard to find in Spore's America because it lacks the Great Lakes.
I did the infinite pack glitch with the wobble D wobble. Basically, my creature was really really under leveled in everything, so I allied with the wobble Dwobble to get some better socializing, but I just kept adding them to my pack over and over and over.
That's interesting that a lot of people get it when doing the "no evolution" challenges or really low level creatures. I've gotten it 1 time since this video and I was doing a no evolution run as well. I wonder if that has something to do with it or a coincidence.
You can use any captain for adventures without the Cheat Engine, it's done through the glitch in the game that allows you to put any creature into Creature Editor, and a help of a mod to allow the game to save it (or editing two files in the game's folder) Steps: 0) Install the ForceSaver mod, or, alternatively, as it sometimes doesn't work, add the line " boolProp disableValidation true " in ConfigManager txt, and then add a line " property disableValidation 0x055d7ca1 bool true " in Properties txt. Both files are located in Data folder (use DataEP1 if you have GA). This allows you to save ANY creation in the game. 1) Enter the Adventure Editor 2) Enter the sporepedia directly from Adventure editor (icon in the bottom left corner) 3) Click on creatures icon at the top to display all creatures (not specific ones) 4) Click on a desired captain (or any other creature with outfit) and click on a default option for "edit" (not the icon with a helmet) 5) Your creature is now in Creature Editor, have fun fixing it, or cheating on adventures, as after you save it, it can be used to create a captain
Steam and GOG are usually the best places to get it new, though Steam doesn't give CD keys which is needed if you want to make a new Spore account in the game. But I think the DavoOnline site has the newest patches for the DVD version davoonline.com/phpBB3/index.php
05:57 its possible to customize where the planets appear? i like having my playthroughs on the same arm and its kinda annoying having to brute force spam the planet's location every time i start a new playthrough
Not sure without mods, I don't think we can manually get a certain location normally. That would be really useful to get a starting location right next to Earth as well!
I love your videos so much they're very well structured and you have a relaxing voice. No offense but I've been playing them in the background to help me sleep for a few months now😂
Following the normal speedrun route which usually takes about 5 minutes without wormholes, using the ghost ship makes travel a bit slower but should be able to get there in around 8 minutes or so :)
Is there a way to ensure 10 city homeworld when uplifting a species? The problem for me is that the oceans often glitch out and no harbour cities spawn. Terrain oceans seem to not be affected by this, but without changing the config files, there's a limit to how many oceans you can place per planet. In addition the mountains and cliffs often seem too steep for cities as well. Saving and reloading in atmosphere can slightly change the final number of cities, but that won't matter if it cannot even reach ~9 cities to begin with.
I wonder if using the space ship terrain tools to level the planet and put more space for cities to spawn could make a planet always produce 10. I thought it was just the terra-score that determines how many cities spawn but making rooms for them might help?
@@KinglyValence Yeah, making room is often necessary, since as far as I know, there can only be a maximum of 5 landlocked and 5 harbour cities on a planet, meaning there needs to be enough water and enough flat land for both to fill up the cap, which is also why the glitch with the oceans disappearing is so fatal here, even though they reappear immediately after using any Terrascore tool. If the water is gone when entering the atmosphere, it's very difficult to get the full 10 cities. The main problem with the tools in a vanilla game is they are unreliable and often get reset entirely, since there is a vanilla limit of 50 Terrasculpting changes, or also just partially reset, resulting in super steep coastlines or watery beaches.
Likely starting Carnivore to not get Siren Song could make a harder playthrough, then attacking all the tribes and completing Civ as Military with the worst vehicles. So a RGRR run would be Warrior for Raider Rally might be hardest!
Absolutely amazed by how thorough this is, and also how difficult the challenge was made! This really is the worst possible creature, but somehow it pulled through! Fantastic work at getting it through :-)
